A Journey from Bitterness to Truth (Matilda and Yvan) novel Chapter 673

The young woman's smile was starting to waver. She thrust out her chest, the generous curves would have set any man's heart racing. Yet, Yvan remained completely unaffected, his gaze unchanging as he ignored her blatant attempt at seduction.

The flirtatious woman, taken aback by the cold shoulder, struggled to keep her smile, "Sir, are you...?"

Yvan, visibly annoyed, frowned, a hint of his former self showing through, "Isn't it obvious? Miss, please stop degrading yourself."

Stunned by such a brutal rebuff from a man she had approached with such fiery passion, the woman covered her face and ran off. Lance, who had been enjoying his ice cream and the scene, was momentarily speechless before whistling, "Wow, you made another girl cry."

"Don't compare her to Matilda," Yvan said, disgust in his eyes. "Matilda would never do something like that."

Lance burst into laughter, "How would you know?"

Yvan paused, questioning himself, how did he know that about Matilda? Where did this certainty come from? Why this intuition?

Keaton, hearing the commotion over the phone, laughed, "Whoa, such authority, huh?"

Yvan then remembered he hadn't ended the video call, and Keaton had seen everything. He pointed the phone at Lance, telling Keaton, "Look, your old flame."

"Damn."

Keaton almost choked on his drink at the sight of Lance, with his white hair and appearance more delicate than a woman's. "Old flame? As if there's something scandalous between him and me!"

Yvan smirked, "Isn't there? Your relationship seems quite scandalous to me."

"What rubbish did you pick up in Australia!" Keaton yelled back into the phone, "Who wants to see that freak? Cut it out!"
