"So, you're telling me, my dad went after our firewall?" Logan couldn't quite grasp why Yvan would do such a thing. "Why would he do that? Does he suspect us?"
"Well, there's another possibility."
Ventus, who had been quiet until now, suddenly spoke up, "Maybe Yvan was trying to follow some breadcrumbs from his past, so he decided to dig into your backgrounds?"
"That's a possibility," R7CKY mused, stroking his chin thoughtfully. "His hacking skills are definitely more advanced than someone merely trying to breach our firewall. He probably had someone else look into us first, and when that didn't pan out, he took matters into his own hands. That's what led to the incident."
Everyone nodded in agreement, and R7CKY seemed quite pleased with himself, "What did I tell you? I knew Yvan wasn't that easy to get rid of! Haha, I'm like a psychic! Maybe I should start reading people's fortunes!"
Logan smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. Ever since Yvan's presumed death, he had taken on a more mature demeanor, always sporting a stoic expression at the office. It was only after his trip to Australia and upon returning that he started to smile again, a detail R7CKY found very reassuring.
Thank goodness Yvan wasn't dead, and he was finally coming back. Otherwise, the weight on Logan's shoulders would have been unbearableā¦
"Speaking of, let's shift gears for a moment."
R7CKY then pulled out a document from behind and placed it in front of Logan, "Your sister, remember her?"
"Oh, Lynn Boyd." At the mention of her, Logan's expression soured, his eyes filling with disdain, "What about her now?"
