After a long day, Matthew leaned back in his chair, closing his eyes for a moment of rest. Just as he was starting to relax, he heard footsteps. As he sat up straight in his chair, he noticed Miguel and a few others entering the room.

Caleb raised the bag in his hand. "I brought a few bottles of my prized red wine, which I usually can't bring myself to drink. Today, you're in for a treat."

"You're quite stingy, Caleb. I remember asking you for a taste several times, but you never let me have a sip of your prized wine. Today, you're being generous, bringing it all for our dear Matthew," Skyler smirked, teasing Caleb.

Miguel chuckled. "Just be happy you get to drink it today."

"Seems like I'm quite important then." Matthew stood up from his chair and sat down on the couch in the lounge area.

Caleb sat next to him while Skyler and Miguel sat across from them.

Caleb took out six bottles of red wine and several boxes of snacks from the large bag he was carrying and placed them on the table. Skyler got up to fetch the corkscrew, decanter, and wine glasses from the wine rack.

Miguel opened the wine, Caleb opened the snack boxes, and Skyler arranged the wine glasses. The three of them were quite proactive, making it seem like Matthew didn't have to lift a finger.

Although they didn't mention anything about Metric Technology when they entered, Matthew could sense their concern. Having been friends for a long time, they had a natural understanding of each other. Some things didn't need to be explicitly stated.
