AUTHOR’S POV
“ I can’t believe it. ” Silas shook his head for the nth time, standing in front of her in nothing but a towel wrapped around his torso.
Sara tried not to laugh but he looked devastated by what happened earlier.
“ I can’t believe you threw up on me! ” He pushed his hair back and grabbed the towel to dry them.
After she vomited on him, he brought her home and instantly went to take a bath. In the meantime, Sara felt like throwing up again and she barged inside the bathroom without feeling the need to ask for his permission.
As she was now unable to throw up, she sat on the basin counter just in case she was going to vomit again because she still felt nauseous.
All the while, Silas was in the state of shock.
“ I warned you. ” Sara shrugged her shoulders, a smile playing her lips.
Silas threw her a side look and sighed out. “ Why are you not going out? ”
“ I feel nauseous. I don’t want to throw up on you again. ” She admitted truthfully.
She didn’t feel embarrassed for throwing up on him earlier at all. She felt satisfied instead. It was an unexpected turn of events, but it served him right, because he refused to listen to her.
Silas frowned and walked over to her. “ I had a hunch that something was wrong with you. Why didn’t you tell me that you were sick? ” He inquired, his hand reaching out to cup her cheek.
Sara gulped, gazing at him. He checked her temperature and caressed her cheek after that.
Sara’s heart skipped a beat when he leaned in and planted a chaste kiss on her forehead. Surprisingly, she felt a little better after her anxiety level went down.
Sara closed her eyes and inhaled deeply, a small smile present on her lips.
It was not even long that she decided to take revenge on him but she didn’t want to go through it. Perhaps, Grandfather Albert already knew she wouldn’t be able to do it.
You could never take revenge on the people you loved.
She loved him so it was impossible for her to hurt him even as some kind of twisted playful revenge.
She blinked her eyes open, realizing she was close to crying.
“ What’s wrong? Does it hurt somewhere? ” Silas questioned, concerned about her.
She was acting so unnatural, that it was irking him out now.
Sara shook her head, her cheeks turning red.
She grabbed his hand which was caressing her cheek and pulled it down.
“ I want to hurt you. I really want to hurt you but I can’t because I love you too much and I hate myself for this. I can’t be angry at you for a long time. I don’t want to forgive you either because I fear you are going to deceive me again. ” Sara poured her heart out, her eyes boring in his light brown orbs.
“ I am sorry for making you go through this and I love you. I don’t have anything else to say to you, Sara. ” As a reply, he had only a few words.
It was so hard for Silas to say these words before, but Sara needed a constant reminder to feel at ease. He was ready to leave his huge ego aside and say it again and again.
Sara sighed softly, a smile slowly tugging the corners of lips.
She closed the distance between them and her lips landed on his in a delicate gesture.
Silas’s hand went behind her neck to pull her closer as he too stepped forward.
It was like everything was falling back into the right place.
She moaned quietly as Silas’s lips began moving against her own. She could get drunk over this feeling alone.
He tugged her lower lip between his own and moved to the upper one with the same intent.
Sara’s right hand tangled in his hair and her left hand gripped his shoulder tightly.
He pulled away after a moment, his eyes taking in the ethereal sight before him.
“ You are the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. ” Silas breathed against her lips, his hands lost in there venture.
Sara opened her eyes and smiled up at him. “ And you are the ugliest man I have ever seen. ”
Silas knew she was teasing him so he decided to play along. “ So you just kissed the ugliest man in the world. Don’t you feel bad? ”
