Married with the Broken Hearted CEO novel Chapter 52

Before I married Chadwick, I found out that he was in a messy love triangle.
He loves a woman but the woman loves another man. My mistake is that I did not look further about the third man whom I think has nothing to do with me.
If only I knew that the third guy is Geoffrey, Isa’s stepbrother, the bar’s handsome bartender and also the nerd guy I met during our college days, then I may have not enter this relationship’s maze.
I am not an outsider. All along, I am involve in their intense battle, and I don’t have any idea I’m part of their game.
‘It’s too late to regret.’
I know that, yet I can’t stop complaining about this sh*t.
“Didn’t I warn you enough? Get lost,” my husband told to Geoffrey.
Isa and I stood next to each other. Geoffrey is behind Isa, and Chadwick went to my right side and stayed there while glaring at our second visitor this early morning.
As confused as I, Isa looked alternately at Geoffrey and to Chadwick.
‘Wait a minute. Last night, a woman slapped Geoffrey’s cheek. I didn’t see her face but her voice sounds so familiar.’
And that’s Isa. Damn it. Why didn’t I recognize her thin, childlike and annoying voice?
Therefore, the stepsister who Geoffrey was talking about is also Isa.
‘Now I understand why I felt so irritated while Geoffrey was telling me the story about his dear step-sister.’
It seems I hated the same person.
“I am getting confused,”  Isa murmured. “First, how did brother know this place? Did you follow me?”
“I followed who?” Geoffrey asked her with a frown. “No. I came here on my own accord.”
“Then why?” Isa inquired. “Why would someone like you come and visit Chadwick?”
“All of your questions are wrong,” Geoffrey sighed, grasping his unstyled blonde hair.
This is his appearance when I met him in the hospital. He looks like a Casanova with his bangs brushed up, but when his hair is down like this, he looks pretty cute and innocent.
‘Sh*t. This is not the time to think like this.’
“I did not come here to see Chadwick. Why would I waste my time for that? I came here to…”Geoffrey paused. I felt his eyes on me and to my polo shirt.
‘My unbuttoned buttons!’
After seeing my opened shirt which almost reveals my cleavage, his face crumpled. Licking the corner of his lips, he pored at Chadwick. His response returned with colder and sharper tone than ever.
“Letting another woman entered your room while your wife is present. Didn’t imagine you’ll stoop low like this, Chadwick.”
“What?” Chadwick snorted with a smirk.
“Wait,” Isa stood between Geoffrey and Chadwick, as if she has the power to stop them from bickering.
‘If only I have a popcorn , things will be perfect.’
“Brother, I can explain. Chadwick and I aren’t that kind of relationship. I just came here to visit him as a friend and to apologize.”
“Your explanation,” Geoffrey replied while looking down at his stepsister. “…is not needed,” he replied.
‘Oh my. This is the first time I heard him say harsh words and display such intense loath in his face. He always act kind and gentle to me.’
Well, Isa slapped him real hard last night. If I am him, glaring at her isn’t enough.
Anyway, let’s get back watching at the drama here before my naked eyes.
“Just like what I said, I came with another purpose.” He stared at me then showed my cellphone on his right hand. “Here, ma’am. You forgot your phone in the pub.”
“Pub?” Isa asked before her wrathful face tended to mine.
Watching is over. Now I am part of the main characters too.
‘This will be tiring.’
“Why would Adira forgot her phone in a pub?” Isa asked, blinking swiftly. “And why did you pick up her phone? How did you know each other and why do you know Adira’s address?”
The answer in her questions is simple. It is because Geoffrey and I knew each other and we’re together last night. The questions are rhetorical and I am sure she knew the answer well. To make it short, what she wanted to say is that she hates this situation.
‘Because she’s jealous.’
She told me before that she finds me pitiful. Now, look at where we stand. Who’s pitiful between us? She who was eaten up by her jealousy? Or me who’s regretting being stuck between them?
‘No matter what happened, I am always cheer for myself.’
So it is my victory. An unwanted victory if I may change my endearment.
“He is just someone who Adira met last night,” Chadwick, whom I thought has lost his ability to speak, murmured.
Our eyes went to him.
“Nothing more, nothing less,” my husband added. “This will be the last time you’ll step in this house, Geoffrey.”
Geoffrey sneered at him and replied, “I did not step in. Look~” He pointed his feet. “I am still standing outside your house. Unlike Isa who dared come in and out whenever she wants.”
Our eyes, now, went to the pale Isa.
“I told you I am just a friend,” Isa defended while gritting her teeth.
“Then starting from now on,” Chadwick replied. “I won’t allow Isa to come here again.”
We stared back at Chadwick.
‘Gosh. I am getting a bit dizzy.’
“H-Hey,” Isa stuttered. “Why would you…”
“Isa, please go out,” my husband said without looking into her eyes.
“But I…”
“Please leave my wife and I alone.”
I observed my husband. He’s scowling while clenching his fists. His nostrils flared up and his face crumpled at the intense scowl between his brows. He breathes heavily as if soon, he’ll exploded.
I am so used of seeing Chadwick’s mad face. But today must be the first day I saw him so angry, that if he has a sword hanging around his waist, he might have already pulled it out and swing it furiously.
However, it makes me wonder to whom he wanted to vent his anger at. Is it me, who let another man took me back home?
Geoffrey, who came here and said that Chadwick is a bastard?
Or Isa, who he loves more than anyone else?
I kept my silence for a long time as the air turned thicker than ever. I was at loss for words before. Mainly because I was so shocked at the revelation I found out today. Yet now, I think I can recollect my sanity and speak up.
“Geoffrey came here to give my phone back.”
This time, they all looked at me.
“It’s not like we are going to stand here forever while watching each other faces. So let’s end this right away. I had to go to work too.”
I walked towards Geoffrey and raised my hand.
“Give my phone back.”
“Ahhh, yes,” Geoffrey replied. He was about to handle my phone to my hand but…
“No. Give it to me,” Chadwick murmured before he snatched away my phone from Geoffrey’s hand.
As my husband raised and put his hand down, I saw something that shut my lips and my ability to hold my composure.
It was too fast.
But I saw it.
I really saw it.
My husband is wearing his wedding ring today.
