"Because you're an adult. Why should I buy you a bag?"
"Natalie is an adult, too! How can you give your entire fortune to her?"
"Because she's my mommy. She can spend it however she wants."
"You're so ungrateful! I gave you so many things, and you wouldn't even buy me one bag. Now you're giving Natalie a hundred million dollars just like that."
Angela was jealous. For Lucas, the little miser, to be so generous, it had to be true love.
And then there was Liana. She knew Liana liked doing math problems and had thought about tutoring her to get closer to her.
She'd assumed a kindergartener's math couldn't be that hard, but she was shocked to find that Liana was working on advanced calculus.
It had left her completely stunned.
It wasn't that Lucas and Liana disliked Angela; they just knew the difference. Angela was not their mommy.
Their daddy had told them she was just a family friend, but she would never be their mommy.
Angela was speechless. She couldn't convince their father, and she couldn't even win over these two little brats.
But she wasn't going to give up and hand Natalie the victory so easily.
"Natalie, no wonder you don't want your own son when Lucas and Liana treat you so well. We can all understand. But the child looks so pitiful. He has a mother and a father, yet he's become a child from a broken home. It's just so sad."
Angela's words were meant to sow discord. She was furious.
