Chapter 435
Kaia POV

I am sleeping in Isaiah’s arms. We showered together and then went back to his room to sleep. He wore me out and it didn’t take long for me to pass out before waking up the next morning.
When I finally do wake up, Isaiah is watching me sleep. I rub my eyes and smile at him. “Good morning.”
I said.
He looks at me curiously. “Good morning, trouble.”
“What? Why are you looking at me like that?” I asked. Is there something on my face?
“Do you know you talk in your sleep?” He asked.
My eyes widened. “Um, no. What was I saying?”
“Some interesting stuff. I will tell you another day, though.” He said.
I narrowed my eyes and asked, “Why not?”
“Because I might lose control if I tell you. Trust me, I will tell you later. Hopefully by the end of the week.”
He said.
Now I’m curious and I want to start my interrogation when my phone rings. I turned to look at who was calling me and immediately sit up. Isaiah sees my reaction.
“Who is it?” He asked.
“My dad. Stay quiet, okay?” I said.
He nodded but was waiting to hear the conversation. When I answered I didn’t even have a chance to say hello.
“WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING, KAIA!? YOU FILED FOR DIVORCE AND GOT A RESTRAINING
ORDER?!” My dad screamed at me.
“My marriage or lack thereof is not your concern dad.” I said, coldly.
“Like hell it isn’t! I told you we need this arrangement! You are going to cancel that restraining order and divorce filing with that asshole attorney!” He barked.
“No, you need this arrangement dad. I do not. I won’t be canceling anything. This divorce is happening.” I
said.
“You ungrateful little brat! Do you know what you are doing?!”
“He broke three of my ribs and my cheek bone dad. I have the medical records. Is that arrangement so important that my safety and health are of no consequence to you? Didn’t you make me sign that prenup so he would have to treat me right? Well, he didn’t. Since he doesn’t know how to be a husband to me,

and all he does it hurt me in some way, shape or form, I’m not willing to stay in this marriage any longer.”
I said back.
“KAIA!” he screamed, once again, stumped by my rebuttal.
“Keep this up dad, and I will file charges against you for harassment too. I’m done with this miserable and cold marriage. If you really loved me and thought of me as your daughter instead of a bargaining chip, then you would support me. I know that is wishful thinking, but for once, stop being greedy and think about my well-being!”
“I don’t know what I did wrong to end up with an ungrateful, shitty, piece of crap for a daughter like you.” He said and hung up.
Isaiah snarled. “I need to go.”
He ran out of the house and into the backyard where there was a forest. He shifted and ran as fast as he
could into the tree line.
‘Storn wants to shred your dad.’ Izo said quietly.
‘I want to shred my dad.’ I said.
I took the moment to call Mr. Fellman. On the first ring he picked up, “Mrs. Black, you have an interesting
husband and father.”
“What happened?” I asked.
“First, Mr. Fergust, your husband’s attorney called me, and I told him Judge Michael granted everything on the spot. I told him not to contact you at all and to direct everything to me. Mr. Black then called me and asked me what it would take to disappear the evidence.”
“He did what?!” I said and I feel my anger rising.
“Just as you heard. I simply hung up on him. Then I assume he went to your father because then he called me. He told me that you were being irrational and that I need to drop the divorce and pull back the restraining order and that he would compensate me handsomely for my time.”
“Are you kidding me?” I asked.
“I wish I could say I was, but I’m not. Those two are certainly a pair.” He said with a sigh. “Still, they are amateurs compared to some real gems I’ve dealt with in the past. Listen, don’t go back to your house this week. If you need a place, I can offer an apartment I have. It’s furnished and it will keep you hidden
until the court date.”
“I appreciate the offer, but I’m pretty well hidden now. I will stay put and wait until the end of the week. I will be there and hopefully I can move on with my life afterwards.” I said.
“Alright. Stay safe. Try not to leave where you are right now. Okay?”
“Alright.” I said and I hung up.

After I hung up, I saw Isaiah standing at the doorway. “That was the attorney?”
