I Walked Away And He Lost His Mind (Zephyra and Steven) novel Chapter 683

Steven’s thick brows furrowed deeply. He continued to toy with my fingers, lifting them to his lips for a soft kiss. “What would I have to regret? Do you think I’m that easily played?”

He looked at me and smiled warmly, but there was no mirth in his dark eyes, only a naked threat. “Even if you get your memory back, you’re not allowed to leave me. Otherwise, you really will die by my hand. Understand?”

I nodded meekly. “I won’t. I won’t leave you.”

As long as Steven doesn’t do anything to betray me, I thought, I don’t think I’m the type to abandon someone so easily. I’m not some shallow flirt who falls for a new person every week.

A genuine smile touched Steven’s lips as he rubbed his chin against the top of my head. “Good. I believe you.”

Once everyone had left, he wrapped his arms around my waist and began to kiss me, pressing me down onto the bed in a possessive, domineering embrace.

I could tell he was incredibly happy, in a fantastic mood.

I was in a good mood too, so I let him kiss me as he pleased.

On the fourth day, several waves of shareholders from the board came to visit.

Gordon explained that they were mainly here to see if Steven was dead, and if not, how he was doing.

Steven was the cornerstone of Aether Studio, its cash cow. If anything serious happened to him, the shareholders would likely jump ship in an instant, each scrambling to secure their own future.

Now, seeing that Steven was fine, the shareholders didn’t dare make a move. They offered their sympathies and left with smiles plastered on their faces.

Gordon was right. They left quickly, grinning obsequiously at us as they passed by in the hallway.

Gordon still had business to discuss with Steven, so I continued my boring vigil outside the room. Noticing that everyone had a phone, I figured it was time I got one too.

Linda had said she’d help me find Mr. Taylor’s number, but I hadn’t heard from her since. I wasn’t sure if she’d forgotten or just couldn’t find it.

Inside the room, after discussing an overseas project, Gordon brought up a new entertainment company that had suddenly appeared on the market. It was launched with a hundred-million-dollar investment, and the legal representative was someone named Eden Temple.

The company was aggressive, immediately forging a close partnership with the Brooks family.

Most importantly, they had already poached a batch of promising new talent from Leonard Lopez’s company.
