Chapter 261 My Toy
William said, “Nina, next time you see a bad person, you run away, okay?
“Let the grown-ups handle it. You’re too little to fight bad guys.”
What William was saying, Benjamin and Amelia had already told her before.
It went in one of Nina’s ears and out the other. She never really took it to heart.
After talking to William, she eagerly scrambled closer to Chloe.
Chloe had been watching her since she walked in.
Nina was so tiny, and she looked even prettier than in the videos.
Seeing her filled Chloe with warmth.
“Nina, do you know who I am?” Chloe asked.
She hadn’t been able to talk to Nina yesterday, so this was their first real chat.
Her voice was a bit hoarse but still pleasant.

The Graham genes were strong. Chloe’s looks and voice could easily hold her own against looks-focused
actresses.
Nina’s affection for her wasn’t just about family ties-she also judged people by how they looked.
Before, she’d already called Chloe “pwetty” when she looked at her photos.
Looking at the beautiful Chloe, Nina beamed and reached out to touch her face.
“Auntie Chloe!” she declared loudly, then leaned in to give Chloe more kisses.
Chloe’s heart melted. “Nina, when I’m all better, I’ll take you out to play. How does that sound?”
Nina shouted, “Okay!”
She was very affectionate with Chloe.
And she even brought her toys over for Chloe to play with.
Seeing this, Chloe thought she was giving them to her. “Nina, you’re so generous! Are these all for me?”
Nina said, “Auntie Chloe play!”
Then she added, “My toy.”
She only shared her toys; she rarely gave them away.
Only Nelson ever received toys from her.
Chloe looked at Nina, totally charmed.
With Nina in the room, the space felt lively and cozy.

After Nina had stayed with Chloe for nearly an hour, Cloe suggested that Amelia take Nina home to rest. “There’s not much fun here for her. I’ll play with her when I’m better.”
She didn’t just ask Amelia to take Nina home-she also told William to leave, keeping only Daniel with her.
As William was leaving, Chloe said to him, “Dad, please ell Jasper. I don’t like him, and I never intended to pursue him.
“Everything I did was just being concerned. Ask him to go home.”
William nodded. “Alright.”
Jasper was still waiting outside, hoping to see Chloe.
On the way out, William-carrying Nina-stopped in front of Jasper and passed on Chloe’s message.
But Jasper refused to believe it. “Chloe would never say that. Please don’t lie to me.
“I swear my feelings for her are real. Just give me a chance!
“Please let me see her. She’s waiting for me.”
He insisted on seeing Chloe.
Seeing him trying to get to her aunt, Nina couldn’t hold back-she raised her little hand, ready to hit him.
“No see my Auntie Chloe!” she commanded fiercely.
Nina was being so bossy-she wouldn’t let Jasper see Chloe.
“Nina, we don’t hit people,” Amelia said, catching her hand.
William didn’t stop her. He intensely disliked Jasper, and as he frowned, his voice turned cold. “I have no reason to lie. My daughter has no romantic feelings for you. Stop bothering her.
“If you keep harassing her, don’t blame me for being rude.”
William was no pushover, and his threat did make Jasper flinch.
