Miracle Cutie (Amelia and Benjamin) novel Chapter 278

Chapter 278 On Purpose

Finished

Maybe it was because he’d gone the whole day without getting to kiss her, or maybe nights like this were just too easy to get caught up in the moment.

Benjamin’s kisses grew heavier, more urgent.

His large hand slipped under Amelia’s clothes, finding that spot Nina was always shooed away from when she tried to nurse.

If Nina knew Benjamin was touching Amelia’s breast, she’d be furious.

“Benjamin, don’t…” Amelia murmured, her body tensing.

Her only experience with being intimate was that single time with Benjamin.

She had no other points of reference.

Benjamin, despite being just as inexperienced, seemed to possess an instinctual knack for this sort of closeness.

Amelia’s protests gradually dissolved into breathless murmurs.

She wanted to push him away, but her strength had utterly deserted her.

Benjamin didn’t take things all the way. He simply explored and savored the moment a little more, his kisses trailing lower.

That night, Nina slept soundly, her little fists still clenched as she fought off bad guys in her dreams.

Meanwhile, beside her, Benjamin and Amelia took advantage of her dreaming about fighting bad guys, sneaking in plenty of their own adult moments.

The next morning, Nina-having battled villains all night in her sleep-rubbed her eyes, powered on after a brief moment of disorientation, and went through her morning routine: a kiss for Amelia, a pat for Benjamin.

After her morning “check-in” with her parents, Nina went off to find William and Daniel.

Daniel wasn’t awake yet.

The only early risers in the house were usually Nina and William.

“Nina, good morning. Up so early again?” William greeted her as he exercised in the yard.

Nina looked left and right. “Grandpa, where doggy?”

Famshed

“The doggies were taken out for a walk. Nina, what do you need them for?” William asked.

Nina toddled toward the gate. “Bad guy hit Nina.”

She had already told every nanny and driver in the house what happened in yesterday’s fight.

But the two dogs had been asleep in their doghouse, fast asleep, so Nina hadn’t had a chance to tattle to them.

Now, first thing in the morning, she was looking for the dogs to tell.

Seeing this, William caught up and lifted her. “The doggies will be back soon. Let me take you for breakfast first.”

He didn’t let her go out.

He carried her back inside. Before he could start feeding her, Benjamin walked over and took Nina. “I’ll wash her face and get her dressed. You eat first.”

Amelia was still asleep. Benjamin efficiently got Nina ready.

In the beginning, he had been utterly clueless with her, but now he could handle every aspect of her care.

Once she was cleaned up and in his arms, Nina started calling him “Ben” again.

Benjamin looked at her. “Say ‘Daddy,” he corrected.

Nina refused. She giggled, calling him “Ben” over and over.

While she was laughing, Benjamin carried her in front of a mirror.

Nina’s giggles stopped instantly. She stared blankly at her reflection, eyes wide, and even reached out her chubby hand to touch it.

The mirror was real.

She looked at the black eye in the mirror. After a few seconds of processing, she let out a loud

cry.

“Daddy, not me! Why black eye? I not pretty!” she sobbed loudly.

Benjamin, hearing her cry and call him “Daddy,” picked her up and moved her away from the mirror.

He said, “Alright, stop crying.”

While his experience with childcare had grown, soothing children was still his weak point.

He didn’t know how to use a sweet, coaxing voice like Amelia or Daniel did.

He spoke in a flat tone, “Your eye will get better in a couple of days. Don’t worry about it right now.”

His comfort was completely ineffective for Nina.
