No Divorce? The Billionaire's Love Chase! novel Chapter 648

"It was you who used my brother and sister-in-law to trick me into coming back," Ann said, "driving a wedge between me and York and making him misunderstand me. I saw your wedding photo on his computer. I remember your face. Don't even try to deny it!"

Marcia pointed at Ann, exasperated. "I'm going to find York right now and get to the bottom of this. You just wait."

Marcia turned, got in her car, and drove off.

"Marcia, you wait, too!" Ann shouted after her, then quickly left.

Claudia and Darleen stood a short distance away, completely baffled.

Darleen gave a thumbs-up in the direction Ann left. "I've never seen a woman so unhinged."

Claudia sighed and pulled Darleen away.

York had all the memories from his past life; his romanticized view of Ann had shattered long ago.

By acting this way, Ann was just asking for trouble.

Darleen and Claudia went to a restaurant they'd booked earlier.

Darleen put down her bag and started ordering. "What do you want to eat, Claudia?"

Claudia, already full from the drama, replied, "I'm not picky."

While waiting for their food, Darleen said excitedly, "Claudia, you have no idea. While you were gone, my brother had this Ann woman thrown in jail twice."

Claudia held her water glass, her expression neutral.

If Ann hadn't gotten married, had a child with someone else, and done all those foolish things, York would still treasure her, still love her to death.

Ann was convinced Marcia was the one who lured her back. This had to be York’s doing.

"That stupid woman is just as dumb as her aunt," Darleen continued. "My brother is about to wipe the Quinn family off the map in Capital City, and those two still think they can secure a place in high society because of a baby. They're dreaming."

Claudia didn't argue, because she knew York had the power to do it.

She changed the subject. "Let's not talk about irrelevant people. Tell me about you and Peter."
