Chapter 263 Seraphina Awakens
The dean glanced at the head of the neurology department, who promptly stepped out to clear the area and summoned security to ensure everything was locked down tightly.
George sifted through the scans, his sharp eyes scanning every detail. His attention lingered on the blood type section in the report.
He mused, Rh–negative. Rare–just like Grandpa’s.
After turning to the last page of the file, George gently snapped it shut and looked at the
ewood Family. “Was there anything unusual before she fell into the coma?”
Oberon and Chloe exchanged awkward glances. Neither of them had any idea what Seraphina had been doing or experiencing before this happened.
“There… there didn’t seem to be anything out of the ordinary,” Chloe finally offered hesitantly.
George averted his gaze to Jason, silently waiting for an answer.
Jason’s voice was steady but vague. “Someone important to her left, and she witnessed it.”
He didn’t elaborate, but it was enough for George to understand.
Even with just a brief observation, he knew that Seraphina was mentally strong. He reflected, If she’s not waking up, something must have deeply shaken her. Whoever that person is, they clearly mean a
lot to her.
Evelyn’s brows furrowed as she pieced it together. Who could have left her like this? What did she witness that hurt her so much?
Jason broke the silence. “How do we bring her back?”
George adjusted his glasses and spoke calmly, “She’s closed off emotionally. To put it more simply, she doesn’t want to wake up. There are several ways to help her, including emotional stimulation, consistent encouragement, or appealing to her desires.”
Though straightforward, these methods were often effective.
Geol ded, “I’ll remain in Pyrin for two days. If she still hasn’t awakened by then, we’ll have to resort to an advanced device. I’ve created a machine that uses brain waves to tap into a patient’s subconscious, helping us uncover what’s holding her back.”
Jason’s icy gaze bore into George, cutting off any further explanation. Sensing the tension, George adjusted his glasses and wisely decided not to elaborate.
As the consultation wrapped up, the dean eagerly stepped forward. “Dr. Foster, I’ve prepared some Darjeeling tea in my office. Shall we?”
George nodded slightly, prompting the dean and the head of neurology to exchange pleased smiles as they followed him out of the room.
Jason turned to the Whitewood Family, his tone cold and dismissive. “We have too many people present.”
The meaning was clear.
Oberon hesitated, clearly reluctant to leave, but he dared not argue. With a stiff nod, he
gnaled for Linara to follow him, and they shuffled out awkwardly.
Now, only Jason and Evelyn remained in the room.
Jason glanced at Evelyn, his expression unreadable. She narrowed her eyes, immediately catching on. “Uncle Jason, don’t even think about kicking me out too!”
Jason didn’t respond, his silent stare doing all the talking.
Evelyn sighed, throwing her hands up in defeat and leaving the room.
Once the room was quiet again, Jason pulled up a chair beside Seraphina’s bed. Gently, he took her limp hand in his and leaned in close to her ear.
