The Abandoned Wife Dumped Him First (Victoria and Elias) novel Chapter 356

Genevieve stared at him, her lips pressed into a thin line.

Elias knew what was coming. "What are your terms?" he asked coldly.

"I can't go to jail."

"That's not my decision to make," Elias refused without a moment's hesitation.

Genevieve clenched her fists, her nails digging so hard into her palms that the pain shot through her nerves. "Elias, Grady's accident really had nothing to do with me. I don't know what Victoria told Abbey, or maybe Abbey just resents me for framing Victoria and Tamara Prescott before, so now she's trying to frame me."

"The police are on my case and won't let up. They don't believe anything I say. I can't let them take me in for questioning. I can't go to jail…"

By the end, Genevieve's voice was tinged with tears. "Elias, help me. You're the only one who can help me!"

But Elias's attitude was firm. "If you're not involved, the police will clear your name. I can't help you with anything else."

With that, Elias decided he wasn't going to get any more clues from her. He even began to suspect that her claim about knowing the mother and daughter's whereabouts was a lie she'd fabricated just to see him.

"The mother and daughter are right here in The Imperial Capital!"

Seeing that he was about to leave, Genevieve cried out, her voice sharp with desperation.

Elias stopped again.

Genevieve took a deep breath. "They've been in The Imperial Capital this whole time. They never left. The reason you can't find them is… because someone is hiding them."

Elias's gaze was dark and chilling as he stared her down.

Genevieve's face paled. She could feel the overwhelming pressure radiating from him, so intense she could hardly breathe. A sliver of fear crept into her heart.

But this was her last chance!

She couldn't back down!

Only by staying out of jail could she win back everything she had lost!

Genevieve bit her lip hard, tasting blood, and met Elias's scrutinizing, terrifying gaze head-on.
