The Betrayed Princess Rising (Lylah and Ezra) novel Chapter 450

Chapter 450

3rd Person’s POV

“Lylah, you’ve barely spent a year studying in a traditional class.”

Seraphina’s voice turned colder, edged with disdain sharp enough to cut through the cramped hut “A field even most healers within Lunar Grace already consider outdated. Meanwhile, I trained under Professor Vale himself for three years.”

Her chin lifted proudly. “You do not possess the same level of knowledge I do.”

“It doesn’t take years of study to understand Abba’s condition,” Lylah answered calmly, but there was a firmness beneath her voice. “Didn’t you hear what she said earlier? Her wolf disappeared mysteriously.”

“A wolf spirit disappearing after severe trauma is rare,” Lylah continued, “but it can happen. Especially after prolonged emotional shock or spiritual fracture.”

Her expression hardened slightly as she faced Seraphina again.

“And the procedure you proposed would damage not only Abba’s body, but the donor’s as well. They are not spare parts to be carved apart and exchanged like broken tools.”

Abba visibly trembled at the thought.

But Seraphina’s face only darkened further.

“You’re speaking nonsense because you don’t understand modern procedure,” she snapped. “If you disagree so badly, then leave and find your own patients to treat.”

“Seraphina.” Lylah’s patience finally thinned. “We are supposed to work as a team.”

“And I am the one leading this team.” Seraphina’s voice rose sharply, carrying the instinctive dominance of

a noble accustomed to obedience. “Lady Tessalonika entrusted this case to me before she left.”

“She entrusted it to both of us.” Lylah stepped forward.

The movement itself was quiet, but something ancient stirred beneath it-an invisible pressure that brushed through the hut like silver mist beneath a full moon.

“She never named you leader,” Lylah said evenly. “She told us to solve the case together. But the moment Lady Tessalonika left, you ignored every opinion except your own. We are fellow healers, not your /attendants.”

The words struck harder than claws.

Shock flashed openly across Seraphina’s face, disbelief twisting beneath her scent.

‘Did she just challenge me publicly?’

Seraphina immediately turned toward the others. These were modern-healing students. Her friends. Her allies. Surely they would support her.

14:22 Tue,

But the silence stretching across the hut suddenly felt uncertain

One of the volunteers shifted awkwardly before speaking.

“Sera… I think Lylah’s concern makes sense.” He avoided Seraphina’s eyes. “If there’s a lower-risk alternative shouldn’t we try that first?”

Another healer hesitated before quietly adding, “And bone replacement procedures are extremely difficult even inside Lunar Grace facilities.” She glanced uneasily around the worn hut. “Performing one here without proper tools or surgical support would be dangerous.”

Seraphina’s expression stiffened.

Humiliation burned hot beneath her skin.
