The Mocked Miss’s Hidden Crowns novel Chapter 2160

There was absolutely no way he was getting out alive.

The room fell silent.

Tansy looked out the window at the crashing waves, saying nothing.

At the end of the day, he was still her father.

Donald didn't push the subject, choosing to quietly stay by her side.

9:00 AM.

The teams were fully regrouped, and the boats leaving the island were ready for departure.

Donald was carefully draping a coat over Tansy's shoulders when a soft knock sounded at the door.

He turned around to see Hector standing in the doorway, staring intently at the two of them.

Seeing the little boy, Donald's heart melted completely.

He immediately walked over, crouching down to the boy's eye level, and gently offered his hand. "Did you eat your breakfast?"

Hector nodded, his huge, round eyes fixed unblinkingly on Donald's face.

A few seconds passed.

Suddenly, Hector reached out a small hand and poked Donald's cheek. He stated with absolute seriousness, "Just like the pictures."

Had Tansy been showing him photos all this time, teaching him who his father was?

"Yeah." Donald's eyes grew incredibly hot. He scooped the boy into his arms, gently brushing his thumb over Hector's soft cheek. "Go ahead, touch again."

Hector obediently raised his little hands and pressed them against Donald's face.

This hardened man, who had survived gunfire and bloodbaths, felt his heart completely liquefy into a puddle.

He finally understood why a ruthless, terrifying man like Anthony softened instantly at the mere mention of his kids.

"Do I look like the pictures?" Donald asked softly.

"Mhm." Hector nodded, tracing Donald's eyes, nose, and mouth, thoroughly inspecting every detail.

"So, what should you call me?"

Saying those words, Donald felt a wave of crushing anxiety.

Sitting on the bed, Tansy also gripped her bedsheets nervously.

She had told Hector countlessly that Donald was his father.

But three years had passed, and this was the very first time they were meeting.

To Hector, he was essentially a stranger.

The little boy's long eyelashes fluttered, his deep blue eyes locking onto Donald.

He looked at Tansy, then back at Donald.
