Julian’s expression darkened in an instant. He didn’t care about Christian anymore. “Is she okay?”

“Ms. Monroe’s fine. Raine got some of the poisoned tea. She’s been taken to the hospital. But now people are saying Ms. Monroe did it. They’re claiming she poisoned Raine during a fight.”

Miles laid everything out as quickly as he could.

Julian let out a breath when he heard Madeline was safe, but his face was still tense. “I’ll be right there.”

He barely paused before saying into the phone, “I get what you’re saying, but you can’t stop me. I have something to deal with. I’m hanging up.”

He didn’t give Christian a chance to say anything else. Julian turned and headed straight for the garden.

When he arrived, they were just about to search Madeline. Claire was making things as difficult as possible, insisting Madeline strip down in front of everyone. It was clear she wanted to embarrass her.
