Chapter 115 His First Love Had Returned!
Benjamin gently stroked Madelyn's long hair and said in a hoarse voice, "Sorry, I have some business to attend to." After speaking, he got up and walked towards the study.
His sudden movement made Madelyn think deeply.
She wasn't trying to be his wife, but she just clearly sensed Benjamin's abnormal behavior.
The person he had in his heart must have come back.
She had just mentioned William's daughter...Eleanor!
Suddenly, Madelyn felt cold all over.
Eleanor...was the one in Benjamin's heart!
But, she had met with William so many times, Benjamin even had sex with her on the phone with William, and he even joked about it a few times...But he never told her that his past was with Eleanor!
No one told her!
Everyone knew this except her!
On this early autumn night, it was chilly...
Madelyn sat alone on the sofa in the living room, only separated by a wall from Benjamin, but at this moment, she felt as if they were worlds apart!
She had fallen for him, however little it may be!
The roses on her pillow in the morning,
The morningdew they played through the night...
The night the spent together...
Madelyn smiled faintly, realizing that none of these mattered! The name "Eleanor" were enough to surpass everything between her and Benjamin...
Madelyn didn't dare to try and talk to him about it.
Because they weren't anything to each other.
She may be foolish, but she understood Benjamin's attitude about it. That bombshell still had an unparalleled effect on him, and Madelyn wasn't someone who would willingly embarrass herself!
He wanted to be alone, so she gave him space.
However, she still made him a midnight snack and put it in a thermal box on the table, which he would be able to see when he came out of the study.
Madelyn sat quietly in the living room, reviewing the financial report for the music room, and then took a bath to take care of her skin...Four-year failed relationship with Daniel had taught her that feeling sorry for a man never ended well!
Late at night, Benjamin sat in his study.
The ashtray on the wooden desk was full of cigarette butts, and the room was filled with smoke. After finishing his last cigarette, he crumpled the pack and threw it away.
His eyes were starting to feel sore, reminding him that it wasn't early anymore...
Benjamin got up and walked straight out.
The living room was dimly lit, with only a small nightlight left on by Madelyn. He easily saw the midnight snack on the table illuminated by the light.
When he opened it, it was a bowl of snow pear stewed with rock sugar!
Good for the lungs!
Benjamin sat down and ate a few bites before walking into the master bedroom. Madelyn had already fallen asleep.
She lay on her side, wearing a conservative white cotton nightgown. Benjamin didn't know where he heard that the style of a woman's nightgown represented whether or not she wanted to do it that night. Clearly, Madelyn didn't want to tonight.
Benjamin guessed that she had found out about something.
So after taking a shower, he hugged her from behind.
Madelyn didn't want to wake up, but he was determined to wake her up...
"Benjamin!"
Madelyn sighed softly and turned to face him, saying in a low voice, "I'm a little tired, I don't want to do it."
Benjamin didn't have that intention either.
He just wanted to talk to Madelyn and be honest with her, "I dated Eleanor for a few years! She is Mr. Bennett's daughter."
Madelyn was taken aback.
She pressed her ear against his chest and whispered where he couldn't see her, "Do you want to get back together with her?"
"No!"
Benjamin's voice was a little cold. "She is engaged!"
Madelyn didn't ask any further.
