Chapter 8 You Came Here To Stay With Me
Madelyn woke up again.
She found herself leaning on Benjamin's shoulder, with a big hand grasping her waist. Taking a deep breath, Madelyn felt as if she was bewildered by the woody scent combined with the smell of men's aftershave.
Benjamin was on the phone.
He was speaking in a low but stern voice.
It was not allowed to answer the phone in the Transfusion Room, but he was so eye-chatching that the girls and women around him were staring at him with an eager look.
Benjamin hung up and found Madelyn woke up.
Her pale face was tinged with a blush. Since Madelyn just woke up, the look in her eyes was sort of innocent, which was quite attractive for men.
Benjamin asked indifferently, "How long do you want to lean on me?"
Madelyn blushed and got up quickly.
Benjamin picked up the coat and put away his phone. Then he said while staring at her, "I'll drive you home."
Madelyn was unwilling to bother him, but Benjamin insisted.
On the way, he answered the phone, and after a while, he said to Madelyn, "I need to go back to the apartment to pick up a fax, and I'll drive you home after I get it."
Madelyn hesitated.
She knew what it meant for a woman to go to a single man's apartment, but she thought to herself, "There are plenty of women around Benjamin, so he won't play tricks on her!"
Madelyn didn't reply, which meant she agreed.
...
Benjamin's apartment was located in the best part of Gredax, which was about 200 square meters, and decorated luxuriously like a show room.
Benjamin asked Madelyn to sit in the living room for a moment, and he went to the study by himself.
Someone was sending a fax to him. Benjamin received the document, then he called and spoke something to the assistant.
After finishing the official business, Benjamin was about to send Madelyn back when the phone in his pocket rang.
The unique ringtone was for a special person.
Benjamin's complexion changed slightly, and he took out his mobile phone tensely... Sure enough, it was from that person.
After a while, he hung up.
The person did not call back again.
