Reborn, Reawakened, Rekindled novel Chapter 146

Stella was taken aback for a moment, but quickly composed herself. She wasn't afraid at all and raised a chair, ready to smash it.

Bonnie cowered, hugging her head and looking terrified.

"Darling!" Mitch quickly grabbed the chair from Stella, pulling her into his arms. "Don't get physical, what if you hurt our baby? Remember what the doc said, stability is good for the baby!"

Stella's eyes burned with fury. "Mitch! If you continue to defend her in front of me, I swear I'll divorce you!"

"No way!" Mitch answered firmly, glancing at Bonnie crouched on the floor, his gaze no longer sympathetic but wary and disgusted.

Not only was Stella surprised by his response, Bonnie also couldn't help but look up at him.

Ever since Neil introduced her to his social circle, her innocent and naive image had won over many, except for Neil's family.

Then, another person appeared at the door.

I turned my head to see Neil standing coldly, looking at the chaotic scene in the ward, his tone irritable. "What happened?"

"I'm fine, Stella just misunderstood me, so she came to ask me some questions." Bonnie got up, clutching her injured forehead.

Her eyes were full of grievance, looking straight at Neil.

Mitch's eyes widened in anger. Bonnie's words were essentially complaining to Neil about Stella, weren't they?

"Bonnie, I think my wife didn't misunderstand you." Mitch couldn't help but retort.

Bonnie looked visibly shocked, seemingly unable to understand why Mitch, who had always protected her, was suddenly cold towards her.

Neil's deep, frosty gaze moved from Bonnie to Stella and Mitch. It was hard to decipher his thoughts.

"Mitch... Did I do something wrong?" Bonnie's eyes welled up. "I know Stella is your wife and she's pregnant, so I don't want to fight with her. She wanted to hit me with a chair, I endured it, but I'm sick too!"

Mitch's face turned ugly. He seemed to want to spit out the words he had just heard, but after seeing Neil, he held himself back.

I just glared at Neil, waiting for him to defend Bonnie.

Neil came over and helped Bonnie sit on the bed, his voice indifferent. "If you're not feeling well, don't move around."

Bonnie immediately looked like she was on the verge of tears, as if she was greatly wronged. "Mr. Whitmore, I know many people hate me, but now even Mitch..."

Neil pulled out his phone and opened a video, interrupting Bonnie. "Did you post this video?"

It was the video of Bonnie apologizing to me. It had gone viral, with many people thinking I had pressured Bonnie into apologizing.

Why was he asking about this?

Bonnie seemed taken aback, sensing something was off about Neil's attitude. She carefully replied, "It was Malinda who suggested I apologize to Irene. After all, I did hurt her. I just hoped she could forgive me, and we could make peace..."

Her explanation sounded perfect. She shifted the blame to Malinda and kept the good intentions for herself.

Neil might be moved by what a kind girl she is!

"Bonnie." Neil interrupted Bonnie again, his expression as cold as frost. "I told you not to try to hurt her in any way. What are you trying to express with this video? That she hates you, bullies you, so you had to apologize?"

His words left me, Stella, and Mitch stunned.
