The Contracted Ever After novel Chapter 335

After visiting Ronan's office, Ronan asked Cordelia, "What was the call about?"

"PrimeBuild Contractors wants us to provide a comparison with last year's figures. I prepared those figures while I was at First Enterprises, and I can't just hand them over. If I did, it would be a violation of professional ethics. I fear they might use this to pressure you to achieve their goals. They've been wanting to collaborate with Lumos Enterprises but haven't found the opportunity. I refused to show them the figures and told them to get it themselves," Cordelia explained.

Ronan, who was busy signing documents, paused to listen to Cordelia and then commented, "Well done."

He genuinely admired Cordelia.

When Jordan was around, he had always obstructed Cordelia from entering the Audit Department, probably fearing she might expose his wrongdoings. Thankfully, Ronan had already taken care of Jordan.

A woman who kept her accounts impeccably, Wyatt had praised Cordelia numerous times in front of him. With a Master's degree backing her, how formidable would she be?

"Do you want to leave with me this afternoon?" Ronan proposed.

Cordelia thought for a moment. "Ms. Milana is going with Tristi to the 'High Society' set. I might just tag along, so I probably won't go with you."

"What if I miss you?" Ronan asked her.

Cordelia chuckled. "We see each other every day. You're just sweet-talking."

"You think I'm sweet-talking you? Why don't you give it a shot?"

Cordelia turned her head away. "No!"

Ronan didn't press further and resumed his work.

Cordelia's phone buzzed with a message from Milana on Messenger. [Cordelia, ready to leave?]

[Sure, I'll message Tristi.]

As she messaged Tristi, she informed Ronan, "Ms. Milana is ready to leave, and so am I."

"Be careful, tell Janice to meet you downstairs in advance."

"Okay." Cordelia quickly typed on her phone while responding to Ronan.
