A subtle frown creased Ronan's forehead.
Emerson was back from Millstone again, the original plan was for Emerson to sign this contract, but Ronan had a change of heart. More specifically, he changed his mind when he found out that Harold was going to intern at Empower Operations.
Emerson was now at home, looking after their kid.
Cordelia had her back to Ronan, not yet seeing him, but she felt a little on edge.
Ronan took a seat, and Cordelia gave him a customary nod.
Harold conveniently left the room, and soon after, Peter entered. It was clear that Harold was a keen observer. He saw Ronan arrive and went to fetch Peter so that Ronan wouldn't have to wait.
Harold had gone to the HR Department. He was discussing his internship plan with the HR Department.
His internship was in the Business Department, where he would intern for two hours every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday afternoon. His monthly internship wage was two hundred dollars.
The HR Director then introduced him to the various departments within the company.
Over in the boardroom...
"Mr. Evans, sorry to keep you waiting, is everything okay with the contract?" Peter asked with a smile.
"No problem," Ronan answered.
Lumos Enterprises and Empower Operations ceremoniously signed the contract, worth thirty-five billion dollars, to develop real estate in Birchwood.
Empower Operations then discussed the execution of the contract and many other issues with Lumos Enterprises.
Originally, Emerson was going to bring a team, but Ronan declined.
During the meeting, Cordelia noticed how effortlessly Ronan answered all of Empower Operations' questions. His mind was sharp, and he seemed godlike. He was a one-man army, exuding a magnetic charm that any woman would find irresistible.
