The moment Seth laid eyes on the photograph of Cordelia, a tear traced its way down his cheek. After more than two decades, to suddenly see the progeny of his most beloved daughter, so beautiful and full of grace, was deeply moving.
As for what this distant relative of Alana's was up to, Tony had a hunch. Could it be that Alana had orchestrated someone to impersonate Cordelia? After all, Alana was in the dark about Tony's covert investigation into Cordelia's matters. Alana was desperate to retrieve the Swiss bank account password and seemed to be going all-in.
Tony figured he had to make another trip to bring Cordelia back.
Usually, Tony would visit Seth once every month or two, but this time, he returned after just a few days, knowing Alana would be out that day. Sure enough, Seth handed Tony a note. "My days are numbered. Bring her back quickly."
Without delay, Tony headed for Birchwood. Before leaving, he shot Cordelia a message on Messenger, and she informed him that she had transferred to Millstone College. So, Tony met with Cordelia at Millstone College.
"Cordelia, I came in a hurry. This note is from your granddad. He insists you visit home," Tony said, handing her the note from Seth. "And there's something else. I found a girl at Seth's house. Alana didn't tell me her name. She's with Alana, and I suspect they plan to use her to dupe Seth and steal the password. You need to come back."
Cordelia clenched her jaw. Lately, she'd been haunted by dreams of her mother, alone and mad in the attic, calling for her, of her parents together. Who wouldn't yearn to see their birth mother, especially knowing the hardships she'd endured?
When she was with Callum, feeling his affectionate nuzzles, memories of her mother flooded back to her.
Her thoughts were a tangle of dreams and longing ,but Ronan wouldn't allow her to go to UK.
She had been set to travel from Birchwood College to England for an inspection, but with her transfer to Millstone College, her plans had evaporated. She even suspected Ronan purposefully arranged this to keep her from going.
"Cordelia, even if you just go to England to get the password, that money won’t fall into Alana's hands. Seth doesn't want her to have a penny of it," Tony urged as he saw her hesitation, banging his fist on the table for emphasis.
