"And how did you know they were 15 in number, I didn't tell you how many they are"
Deep down, Adam knew he had to say something, anything, or risk exposing himself and Olivia.
"How did you know they were 15"
"Well, this and that" He chuckles, glancing around.
"What and what?"
"Numbers" He shoots sharply as a thought strikes through.
"What?"
"Numbers, an average number for mobs in a group is 15 so I assumed they were 15"
"Ah!" Alexandra exclaims, playing along, seeing right through him. "they were"
"So stories about mobs being 15 in a group are true"
"I don't care"
"Yea just glad that you are safe. Please don't walk through the lonely path again"
Alexandra's eyes widened. "How did you know it was a lonely path?"
Adam bites his lower lips for a second, and smiles, hating that he was giving out too much and risking everything.
"I assumed, mobs attack in lonely path"
"You must know a lot about mobs"
"Some rogues act like mobs, the only difference is they don't use weapons since they are werewolves"
"Rogues" Alexandra whispers.
"Yes. I hate them"
"Because of what they did to you"
"Not only to me but rogues should be killed. They are a disgrace to werewolves"
"Your hate runs deep"
"The mere sight of them makes me crave raw meat"
Alexandra glances around making sure no one heard them.
"Do you still hate to eat raw meat?" He states, aloud.
"Will you keep your voice down?"
"Relax no one can hear us"
"You can't be so sure, how can werewolves be this ignorant most times"
"Because we don't give a damn" He winks her eyes.
"Please don't do that"
"Do what?" He winks at her again
"That thing you just did with your eyes"
"Winking"
"Yes"
"Why? Do you hate it?"
"Yes I do"
"Really? But I thought you use to like it when you were a student"
Alexandra laughs, she had forgotten all about high school and its drama. "I was what? 16"
"Yet you did it a lot"
"I didn't, it was the werewolves in my class, who had a habit of winking"
"And you love when they wink at you"
"I didn't but Olivia did"
Hearing that familiar name, the smile on Adams's face quickly fades away for a moment. The thought of Olivia sending those mobs to hurt Alexandra still made his blood boil and he wasn't ready to forgive her, at least not immediately.
"Is something wrong?" Alexandra asks noticing the sudden change in his eyes
"Nothing"
"Are you sure is not about the rogues?"
Adams laughs, he had forgotten Alexandra knew had a habit of bringing a smile to his face.
"Yes" he stares into her eyes and she stared back, imagining Nathaniel sitting in his seat, winking and teasing her.
