Strolling down the street, a lot of things run through Alexandra's mind, she had not expected Adam to bring up Nathaniel in the middle of their conversation.
"Rejection" she scoffs, unbelievably.
It has never crossed her mind that Nathaniel could reject her since he was different and without a doubt, Alexandra was confident that Nathaniel would never reject her, he may get mad at her and scold her often but he would never leave for another woman nor cheat on her, at least he proved that when they stayed together at the inn.
Running her hand through her hair, a mischievous smile creeps on Alexandra's face remembering the look on Adams's face. She had gone over to him to provoke him but didn't think, she will make him mad at Olivia since she has known both of them to be lovers.
"What a waste" she rolls her eyes cornering into her premises, takes slow steps into the entrance door, strides into the living room, glancing around the room, the deafening silence engulfs her and she strolls upstairs, dashing into her bedroom, falls on the bed, biting on her lower lips.
Memories of Nathaniel flood her mind and she quickly takes out her mobile phone, scrolling to his contact, and attempts to call him but on a second thought pushes the feeling aside.
"I wanted to go over to crimson pack after the alpha ceremony is over" she whispers
"I wonder if you would even believe me since you don't trust me" she takes off her shoes, tossing them aside.
Nathaniel's words begin to play in her head and she blinks her eyes, hating how she was not over it. She had thought his words wouldn't have any effect on her any longer but seeing how her heart aches at the memories makes her want to go back to that day then maybe she would never have kept quiet and would have told him the truth.
She would have told him that she was planning to secretly ruin Olivia and Adams at the ceremony and she wanted to take part in it. Although Alexandra wasn't prepared to tell him about her desire to join in the ceremony since she didn't know how ould react, Alexandra still had a feeling, Nathaniel would have been right by her side supporting her.
"Should I call you?" She massages her temple "Should I not?" She sits upright "should I call you?" She falls back on the bed. "Should I not?" She sits upright
"Call him"
Hearing the familiar voice blare in her ear, Alexandra widens her eyes seeing the imagination of Nathaniel gawking at her leaning against the door.
"You should call him"
"What are you doing here?"
"Thought you will be happy to see me"
"I just didn't think you would be here"
"You thought about me sitting across the table at the restaurant, imagine if I had appeared and you then you called Adam, Nathaniel, what would happen?"
Alexandra opens her mouth but on second thought close it, he was right. It never crossed her mind what crazy scene it will create if she had mistaken Adam for Nathaniel, it would have ruined her plans.
"You should stop thinking about me when you are with someone, especially your enemies"
"I don't have enemies"
"What should I call your step-sister then?"
"I don't know"
"What should I call you then?"
"Alexandra of course"
"Nope" Nathaniel walks towards the window "You are a two-faced"
Alexandra's eyes widened. "You read my mind"
"I'm in your mind, that's your uniqueness but don't worry, is alright. They caused you pain so your revenge is justified"
"Really?"
"Yes except the only one in the dark here is me"
"Nathaniel" she whispers and he nods.
"If you don't tell him, he would keep feeling as though you are using him, playing him for a fool"
