A Journey from Bitterness to Truth (Matilda and Yvan) novel Chapter 233

Luna walked in and gave Orson a once-over, “Orson, you clean up pretty well. How come you don’t have girls chasing after you all the time?”

Hala chuckled mischievously from the side, “Maybe he’s into guys.”

Orson rolled his eyes, “You two sure like to talk…”

“Well, we’re in the business of creating romantic games for young women; we need to have wild imaginations. Recently, a fan of ours suggested pairing the hotshot CEO character with that celebrity heartthrob in the game. I think it’s a pretty cool idea.”

Hala twirled her pen, “Maybe I should write an alternate storyline featuring a male-male romance?”

“Let’s see if there’s a market for it first. No point wasting energy on something that might not sell. For all we know, they might just be freeloaders enjoying all our free content. The moment we ask for a buck, they throw a fit. They’re the type who take advantage and then complain.”

Yoshi finished speaking and then added, “You two better get ready. I heard we’ve got not only the production crew coming today but also an internet celeb looking to gain some exposure. The higher-ups want to make her the face of our campaign.”

The word "influencer" made Matilda's brow twitch involuntarily. Recently, she’d run into some drama-loving, D-list internet personalities and had developed a strong aversion to the term, instinctively bracing for trouble.

Sure enough, when the client arrived at nine o'clock and Matilda and Orson went out to greet them, they were taken aback.

Mia sat there with an air of arrogance, her eyes full of disdain for Matilda's small studio. Thinking they were out of earshot, she grumbled to her manager, “What kind of idiotic game is this? Don’t book me for these no-name game promotions again.”
