A Journey from Bitterness to Truth (Matilda and Yvan) novel Chapter 247

The officer did a double-take. "Holy smokes, isn't that Mason? What the heck happened here? Why are they brawling?"

He glanced from Matilda to Mason and immediately realized the situation was beyond his control. Without wasting any time, he called the Farrell family to come and collect their kin. When Colleen stormed into the station and found out her son was beaten black and blue over a woman, she was shaking with fury.

"Who's the little temptress that lured my boy into trouble?"

Her voice preceded her as she marched in with her entourage, eyeing everyone in the station with disdain, "Which one of you hussies did it?!"

Matilda, held by Orson’s protective embrace, looked up at Colleen.

Colleen, with a slap ready to launch, found her wrist caught by Orson just in time, his gaze freezing her in place. She tried again, "What the hell? You wanna hit me now?"

Luna, who had a fiery temper, chimed in, "I've got my camera rolling here; everyone will know who threw the first punch!"

Colleen's smile faded, aware that a video leak would tarnish the Farrell family's reputation. But she couldn’t let a bunch of girls intimidate her, not if she wanted to save face as Mrs. Farrell.

She wrenched her arm free from Orson, "Looks like trash sticks together—a bunch of lawless kids trying to threaten me."

Her glare was venomous, her hatred for Matilda deep. Because of this unclean wench, her son was in this mess!

Matilda met Colleen’s eyes with an icy stare, "Maybe focus on teaching your son some manners instead of dumping your garbage on others!"
