A Journey from Bitterness to Truth (Matilda and Yvan) novel Chapter 246

On the other side of the club, Matilda was yanked into an empty VIP booth by Mason, who then forcefully pinned her down on the plush sofa, his hands aggressively tearing at the fabric of her dress.

Tears welled up in Matilda's eyes. What had happened to Mason? Was the genteel and cultured man she once knew all just an act?

As if reading her thoughts, Mason let out a cruel laugh, his handsome face twisted with malice. "Yeah, why would I play nice unless I wanted to play with you? I figured out you're nothing but trouble. No point in wasting genuine feelings on someone like you!"

His words were a blatant insult, and Matilda struggled violently. "Let me go!"

"Slept with Yvan, slept with Adrian, and who knows who the guy in those pictures is—Matilda, why pretend to be so pure?"

"What pictures?!" Matilda screamed. "Mason, this is a crime!"

"Don't play dumb with me!" Mason snarled, his grip tightening on her throat. "The woman in those pictures is you, exposed back, chest, waist, face—it's all you!"

"I never took those pictures!"

Matilda roared in anger, "Don't touch me!"

Her resistance only drew a cold sneer from Mason. "If I'd known you were this type of woman, I wouldn't have bothered trying to sweet-talk a tramp!"

Tears of fear and shock streamed down Matilda's face. Was Mason trying to destroy every good feeling she had for him?

The man who had once spoken words that touched her heart... was it all just a facade?

The disappointment in Matilda's eyes was so evident that Mason felt stung by her gaze. He lifted her chin aggressively. "Don't look at me like that!"
