A Journey from Bitterness to Truth (Matilda and Yvan) novel Chapter 343

Yvan's hands trembled slightly as he clutched his phone, the silence heavy in the air. As the video automatically began to play, the short one-minute clip seemed to shake him to his core, as if the woman dominating the screen was conquering him personally.

Later, when Yvan stepped out, he found Carl hunched over his computer, engrossed in Matilda's clips. Yvan's temper flared instantly. "What the hell are you watching her for?"

Startled, Carl nearly knocked over his chair before pushing up his glasses. "Heard there was this ad with a lady looking a lot like Ms. Thompson. Just wanted to check it out..."

The video continued to play on the large screen, capturing every captivating move and glance of the woman.

Yvan's handsome face tensed. "Turn it off!"

Carl stammered, "...Mr. Boyd, I didn't mean—"

"No more watching her!" Yvan growled through clenched teeth. "Can we buy this video out?"

"That... That would cost a fortune..." Carl ventured cautiously, "Mr. Boyd, Ms. Thompson's face isn't fully shown, and the ad is actually pretty good."

"Pretty good?!" Yvan echoed Carl's words, his assistant feeling panicked for the first time, quickly trying to backtrack, "I mean... it’s not bad..."

Yvan, wordless, stormed out with a murderous look on his face.

Carl watched him leave, still trying to process what happened. Was it just that Yvan hated the idea of Matilda's beauty being exposed to the masses? What had he been thinking?

Upon seeing Matilda's clip, Declan burst into laughter. To outsiders, the identity of the woman was a mystery, but those in their circle who had crossed paths with Matilda could easily recognize her. Smirking, he forwarded the video to Yvan. "Your ex-wife has become a goddess to the masses."

That was the new title netizens had bestowed upon her, referring to the masked woman as the dream girl of many.
