A Journey from Bitterness to Truth (Matilda and Yvan) novel Chapter 455

Hala was fuming, her face turning a shade of blue with anger. "Did you sneak a peek at us? Cheating! Making a fool out of me on purpose!"

"Blaming your bad luck on me and calling it cheating? Can't handle the game, then drink up!" came the retort.

Luna egged her on, "Look at our goddess, taking a loss like a champ!"

With no way out, Hala begrudgingly accepted a daring dare. Luna's challenge was for her to unbutton her top, stride up to the front desk, and wait for a man checking in alone. Then, she was to wrap her arms around him and whisper, “Hey handsome, lonely night, how about we spice it up?”

The room erupted in laughter.

Yoshi couldn't help but collapse onto the floor, laughing, "Sorry, Hala, I couldn't help myself."

Amidst the laughter, everyone was throwing around expletives while also admiring Luna's wicked sense of humor. By the time Hala's dare was done, the man, initially flustered by Hala's approach, stormed off realizing it was all a game, too angry to even check in. Hala walked back in, her face a mix of embarrassment and annoyance, to a roomful of laughter.

"Bravo, bravo, what a social genius," Baxter clapped from the sidelines. "And here I thought my challenge of dancing in a miniskirt was tough."

The dares escalated in absurdity, with Luna conjuring up more outlandish ideas like having the male guests kiss each other or sending a text to their parents saying, "Honey, I'm waiting for you at the hotel." The reactions were priceless.

The game stretched into the wee hours, with everyone either drinking penalties or performing dares. By the time it was over, quite a few were tipsy, including Matilda, who stumbled as she was leaving. Cyprian, always the gentleman, caught her, saying, "Be careful."

Matilda, a little worse for wear, bowed slightly to Cyprian, mimicking a knight's gesture, "Thank you."

Luna couldn't help but laugh, "Oh goddess, you've had one too many."

Rubbing her forehead, Matilda mumbled, "Too much? Maybe... It's been a long time since I've had such fun."
