A Journey from Bitterness to Truth (Matilda and Yvan) novel Chapter 484

Eugene chuckled, "Yeah, someone did tell me to keep a good eye on her."

That noisy little brother, Criss.

Adrian gave Matilda a meaningful look, "You seem to be in good spirits lately."

Matilda didn't deny it, "Yeah, feels like I've opened a new door in life."

"It's good to see you've come to terms with things."

With a smile, Adrian stretched out his fork and sliced off a piece of the cake next to Matilda, "How about Yvan? Is he still bothering you?"

It was only then that Matilda remembered; it seemed that lately, there had been less news about Yvan.

He was no longer forcefully making his presence known in her world, demanding she accept everything he offered without giving her a chance to resist.

Matilda mumbled, "Lately... I haven't really been entangled with him much."

Adrian's gaze deepened, "Did he change his ways? Hmm?"

"I don't know." Matilda had no desire to delve into Yvan's intentions.

In her heart, she had locked away all her feelings about Yvan, sealing them off so they would never see the light of day again.

Noticing Matilda's reluctance to discuss Yvan, Adrian's mood seemed to brighten, "So, you don't like him anymore?"

"Like?" Matilda laughed as if she heard a joke, "Such a distant word. I might never 'like' someone again in my life, so let's just forget about that ability, shall we?"

Perhaps she was no longer capable of falling in love with anyone.
