A Journey from Bitterness to Truth (Matilda and Yvan) novel Chapter 485

Back then, Adrian was all serious, his hand tightly clasping Matilda's as he confessed. He admitted to his past mistakes and how they led Matilda to erase him from her memory. Now, he was asking for a chance to win her heart anew.

Adrian still found that moment thrilling, yet Matilda brushed it off so effortlessly!

"You..." Adrian found himself at a loss for words, eventually letting out a sigh. "Fine, you win. You say you forgot, but you're actually holding a grudge."

Matilda just smiled, while Eugene went to settle the bill, also getting her order to go. "This is too much; I'll end up throwing up," she joked.

"Then, eat until you do," Eugene said with a sly grin. "Someone made me promise to take good care of your dining needs."

"Who?" Matilda asked instinctively.

"That's a secret," Eugene replied with a smirk, not yet ready to reveal his relationship with Criss to Matilda.

Watching Eugene lead Matilda away, Adrian's eyes narrowed slightly.

He lingered where they had been sitting for a while before finally allowing himself a small smile.

It was time to pay Yvan a visit.

...

That afternoon, Yvan's office received an unexpected visitor. When Yvan looked up, he saw Adrian standing in front of his desk.

"Who let you in?" Yvan frowned.

"You did," Adrian responded, arms crossed over his chest. "What, too caught up in work and just waved your assistant off, forgetting about it?"

Yvan maintained his expression, "What do you want?"

No one visits without a reason, especially not a rival in love.
