A Journey from Bitterness to Truth (Matilda and Yvan) novel Chapter 520

It seemed that some thoughts were still deeply rooted in the child's heart.

Godfrey let out a sigh that turned into a puff of white mist, a clear sign of the biting cold. Everyone's noses were a bright, frosty red. "He's changed a lot recently, clearing his name and making public apologies. Did he come over today just to see you guys?"

"I don't know."

Logan's response was muffled, "I have no idea why he's here; it has nothing to do with me anyway."

So what if Yvan had changed?

Was he trying to win Matilda back?

Starting over wasn't as easy as it sounded.

Unless time could be reversed, and all the hurt he caused could be completely erased.

Godfrey glanced at Yvan, acknowledging his actions as a man. Yet, his past remained unforgivable.

Later, they had a bit of fun rolling around in the snow before heading upstairs. Yvan pulled out an umbrella from the car, holding it over Logan as he walked him to the entrance of the building.

Turning around, Logan saw most of the umbrella covering him, with Yvan's shoulders already dusted with a thin layer of snow.

"Thanks," Logan said indifferently.

After escorting Logan inside, Yvan returned to his car. Godfrey, watching his lonely and pitiful figure, asked, "It's snowing heavily; the roads back to Sea City might be closed. Where will you stay tonight?"

Yvan remained unfazed, as if nothing could bother him.

"I'll find somewhere," he said deeply.

Godfrey couldn't help but ask, "Aren't you going back to the Boyd family for Christmas?"

The mention of the Boyd family made Logan uncomfortable.
