A Journey from Bitterness to Truth (Matilda and Yvan) novel Chapter 542

They all managed to slam on the brakes just in time to avoid a catastrophe. No one was hurt, but Logan and his crew had been thrown a good distance from their silver van. The little boy swiftly restored the traffic lights to their proper sequence, making the chaos seem like just a momentary glitch in an otherwise ordinary day. Yet, it had indeed happened!

Yvan was astounded by Logan's incredible talent and his terrifying composure in the face of danger...

Pedal to the metal, the man's driving skills turned the city streets into a blur of speed.

Meanwhile, in another car, R7CKY sat with his laptop, a gun slung over his shoulder, as Ventus drove. R7CKY leaned forward, “Kiddo, tell your old man to step on it. Hang in there, drive for another three miles. There's a skyscraper we're heading to!”

“Got it!” Logan furrowed his brows, quickly searching for the location on the map. “What’s the plan?”

“You're about to see your mentor's real showstopper…” R7CKY said with a smirk, overtaking countless cars until they swiftly stopped in front of a towering building.

R7CKY, too impatient for stairs, climbed up the building's façade like a parkour expert, with Ventus right behind him, their movements both skilled and bold as they ascended to the skyscraper's roof.

The wind howled in their ears, but they made it to the top of the twenty-story building in just two minutes. Any misstep could have been fatal.

Reaching the rooftop, R7CKY snapped his fingers and whistled sharply, “We're in position, just waiting on you…”

“Where are you…” Logan quickly pulled up the surveillance footage and spotted them on the skyscraper's roof.

R7CKY found his spot, laying down with a sniper rifle, his gaze sharp and focused.

Logan was alarmed, “Are you sure you can make the shot?”

At such a distance, at such speed!

“This needs your dad’s cooperation…” R7CKY shouted, “Yvan, you there? Can you hear me?”
