A Journey from Bitterness to Truth (Matilda and Yvan) novel Chapter 546

It was in the blood, alright.

Opal sneered, "So you're the one Yvan mentioned, the so-called grandson of the Boyd family?"

Logan grinned, "I wouldn't know."

Opal didn't expect such a disrespectful reply and flew into a rage, pointing directly at Logan, "No manners! Who raised you like this?"

Yvan was about to tell his grandmother to stop being so insulting, but then, from the hospital bed, Matilda spoke.

The woman laughed bitterly, "Well, what do you expect? The son of a murderer, how could he possibly be well-mannered!"

Opal shook violently, and Rachel was equally shocked. Everyone's gaze shifted to Matilda, whose face was pale but whose eyes were fierce and sharp, piercing them like knives.

Opal slammed her cane, "How dare you! What gives you the right to speak like this!"

Just a stray dog kicked out by the Boyd family! What right did she have to barge into their conversation!

But Matilda just sneered, "Just a woman, personally sent to prison by your precious grandson!"

Her tone was filled with a chilling resolve!

Matilda turned to look at Rachel beside her, for the first time in years locking eyes with her.

Back when Rachel had fallen down the stairs, Matilda had tried to grasp her hand, not expecting this gesture to become the evidence of her alleged crime.

How ironic.

Tears almost escaping her, Matilda held the hospital bedsheet tightly, the back of her hand bruised from the IV needle, but she felt no pain, just a fierce gaze fixed on the women who had abruptly invaded her space.
