Matilda graciously accepted Chloe's plea, and off Chloe went with Godfrey, bubbling over with excitement. As they left, Chloe's voice echoed, "I'll make sure everyone understands you! That old witch Yvan will pay for what she's done!"

Matilda clenched her fists, her eyes reflecting the memory of Opal's harsh slap across Logan's face.

She watched Chloe leave, murmuring to herself, "I can handle my own battles, but for Logan... I'll settle every score!"

The next day, Matilda was discharged from the hospital. Keaton noticed she seemed in better spirits and couldn't help asking, "What's got you in such a good mood lately?"

Maybe it was because Yvan had finally backed off. After all, she used to be nothing but hurtful, but now, she seemed to have turned a new leaf, publicly standing up for Logan.

Matilda offered a small smile, "I've come to terms with a few things. That's all."

Keaton, however, felt indignant on Matilda's behalf, "If I were you, I'd smack Yvan right back for those two slaps she gave you!"

"Thank you, Keaton," Matilda consoled him, then gazed into the distance with a profound look, "Some debts aren't settled not because they're forgotten, but because the time isn't right."

When the right moment comes, she vowed to personally reclaim what was owed.

Keaton walked Matilda to the hospital's entrance, "Call me if you need anything. You're still not completely stable, psychologically speaking. If you're struggling, I can get one of my psychologist friends to talk to you, help you work through things."
