A Journey from Bitterness to Truth (Matilda and Yvan) novel Chapter 648

The first weekend without Yvan, Matilda took Logan to an amusement park again. As they were leaving, Logan turned to his mom and said, "I want to visit Mr. Boyd."

Matilda froze. "You mean the cemetery?"

"Yeah."

Logan's eyes shone with clarity. "I didn't go last time. I want to see it now."

Matilda was silent for a long while before finally addressing her son. "I'm afraid it might be too much for you."

"It's okay."

Logan took Matilda's hand. "I have you with me."

Half an hour later, they arrived at the place where Yvan had been laid to rest. Logan stared at the gravestone, his brow furrowing slightly. "Did you watch the whole thing when he was buried?"

Matilda was startled by his tone, snapping back to the moment. "No... I couldn't bear to watch. Everyone was too heartbroken. No one could turn their head away."

Indeed, not just Matilda, everyone couldn't bear it.

So no one had actually witnessed Yvan's cremation or the burial process.

Logan felt like he had morphed into a detective then, asking, "Did you see him when he was brought over on the plane?"

Matilda paused, giving the same answer. "Just a glimpse. I didn't look closely... Why do you ask?"

Logan shook his head, reminiscent of Sherlock Holmes, rubbing his chin as he narrowed down his suspects.

At that time, his grandmother Violet had collapsed in tears, clearly not having seen Yvan. Noel was too busy taking care of his wife to observe closely. That left Keaton and a few others.
