A Journey from Bitterness to Truth (Matilda and Yvan) novel Chapter 761

When Declan spoke, his voice carried a tone of desperation, almost begging.

He had never imagined Chloe would leave. He always thought no matter how much he messed up, she would never walk away from him.

Keaton's words hit Declan like a ton of bricks, leaving him stunned. It felt like a hole had been punched through his chest, the cold air whistling through it, chilling him to the bone.

Keaton shook his head in resignation. "It's hopeless, Declan. You're beyond saving."

Declan's eyes reddened in silence, his figure resembling a lonely statue, as if he was the only person left in the world.

Later, when Keaton considered asking Lance for some hangover pills for Declan, fearing he might actually drink himself into a real problem, it was then that Declan suddenly started coughing violently.

He didn't throw up, but the dry heaving was terrifying, his whole body convulsing, his face deathly pale.

Yvan, with sharp eyes, noticed Declan covering his mouth, a pool of red blood staining his palm.

"Take him to the hospital!"

Lance also shouted, "This is alcohol poisoning! Keaton!"

Keaton quickly came over to help, while Yvan grabbed the car keys. "No, we need to get him out now..."

"I don't want to..." Declan's face was as pale as a ghost, barely conscious yet stubbornly resisting. "I just want Chloe to come back..."

Keaton wished he could slap some sense into Declan, but he knew it was futile. He had to forcefully take Declan away. "You're damn near dying and still thinking about Chloe?"

Yvan clenched his teeth. "Get him in the car, I'll drive him to City Center Hospital."

That's where Keaton worked.
