Matilda barely gave Donna a glance, but that look was enough to make Donna feel like she was being sized up by the alpha of a wolf pack. Before she could retort, Matilda turned on her heel, dragging Chloe with her. "You scratched my face, so I slapped you. Fair's fair, right?"
Donna yelled after her, "You think you have the right to slap me?"
Matilda spun around, closing the distance between them in a flash, pinning Donna against the wall with a thud.
Her movements were as swift as a raging storm, mirroring the fury Yvan was known for!
Then, with a graceful yet menacing motion, Matilda's slender fingers wrapped around Donna's throat.
Matilda's laugh was chilling, a devilish grin spreading across her face, making her look eerily like Yvan in his darker days. "Stop hopping around like a court jester. If I really wanted to hurt you, a slap would be the least of your worries."
That sinister smile, coupled with the scar slicing across Matilda's cheek, was downright terrifying.
Donna was visibly shaken by Matilda's fierce expression, but eventually, she managed to stammer a retort, "You... don't think putting on this act..."
"Putting on an act?" Matilda's grin widened as she released Donna, who stumbled forward due to the sudden loss of support, her clumsy movements a source of amusement for Matilda.
Shaking her head, Matilda turned to Yvan, "Your taste hasn't improved one bit."
How could he fall for someone who plays the innocent so poorly? Rachel was one thing, but this woman, caked in makeup and feigning vulnerability, was just pathetic.
Yvan was about to declare his change of heart, but the icy look in Matilda's eyes made him swallow his words.
Donna had come seeking Yvan's intervention, hoping for some form of justice. Yet, as soon as Matilda walked away, Yvan followed, leaving Donna fuming and feeling utterly disregarded.
Left standing alone, Donna's eyes brimmed with tears of frustration, her fists clenched in silent vow. No, she wouldn't let Matilda get away with this.
