Genius Doctor's Fifth Young Miss novel Chapter 356

"You're right." The Snow Wolf King said. "In the past, people would come in and we would fight with their contract beasts. But our powers were always greater than theirs."

"How long ago was that, when people would come in?" Wei Zi Qi asked.

"I've forgotten, it was too long ago." The Snow Wolf King said. "Although we do take a long time to grow in our rank, it means that the strength and power in our bodies is greater than those of other spirit beasts'."

"So you're already a divine beast. If you are not able to promote to a sacred beast, what will happen? Sima You Yue asked.

"I can feel that the power in my body has grown, but I will never be able to promote. As such, I am destined to forever be the same as all other spirit beasts. If I do not die in battle, then I will die by old age." The Snow Wolf King said somewhat nonchalantly.

"Have you ever thought about leaving? So that you will not be subjected to the rules of this place and become a sacred beast, or perhaps an even higher ranking?" Wei Zi Qi said.

"Not really." The Snow Wolf King said. "My ancestors had once said that when someone enters the place, we should think if a way to get out. But each time, the human beings just disappear in front of our eyes, and we have never found a way to use them as a way to leave."

"Because of the restrictions from the laws?" Ouyang Fei asked.

"I think so." The Snow Wolf King sighed.

"If you guys could leave, would you want to?"

"If it means having to form a contract with a human, then I would rather stay here forever." The Snow Wolf King said resolutely. He had seen another form a contract with a human to leave. But if he had to do that, then he would rather remain where he was.

"What if it does not have to be a contract?" Sima You Yue said.

"You have a way?" The Snow Wolf King asked.

"There is a way, but it will require you to pay a price. After all, if you gain something you will have to sacrifice something else." Sima You Yue said.

The Snow Wolf King stopped in his tracks, and looked at Sima You Yue to ask, "Then I will have to see if this sacrifice would be worthwhile."

Sima You Yue knew that the snow wolves were a proud species, and now she had seen it for herself. She thought about how it would lower its head to propose an exchange for the stone skeleton flower, but it was definitely just for them to be able to save their High King.

"If it requires you to trade a short amount of freedom for an eternal state of freedom, would you consider that worthwhile?" Sima You Yue smiled, asking.

"A short time of restriction How long do you mean?" The Snow Wolf King asked suspiciously.

"A hundred years." Sima You Yue said. "If you can grow in your rank to become a sacred beast or whatever, a hundred years would just be a short portion of time in exchange for a longer amount of true freedom. And, I will not ask to much of you, only that when necessary that you lend a helping hand."

The Snow WolfKing looked at Halcyon. Indeed, she had a sacred beast, and they were really worth nothing much in her eyes.

"I will discuss this with my clan." The Snow Wolf King said,

"That's no problem. Anyway we will be staying here for a year." Sima You Yue said. Following that, the Snow Wolf King never brought the topic up again, but just introduced the place to them as they walked around.

"It's here." The Snow Wolf King stopped walking, and pointed to a cave. He brought the group into the cave, and after they had passed through the passageway, they reached a spacious underground cavern. "This is the place." The Snow Wolf King said.

Sima You Yue and the rest looked around them. As they entered the cavern, they could sense a thick and dense spirit energy. The spirit energies seemed to undergo some traction, and started to make their way to the lake.

"If you train here, you will definitely attain even better results for the amount of effort that is put in." The Snow Wolf King said.

"Letting Zi Qi train here would definitely be good." Sima You Yue said. "But for Fourth Brother, I don't think this is ideal."
