It was swollen and hot, but it wasn't painful like one would imagine.
Opening his eyes, he saw Sima You Yue look at him with amusement.
"What kind of treatment method is this?" He asked.
"Acupuncture." Sima You Yue said while piercing him with the needles, "Your wounds are really serious right now. It's better for you not to speak. Save your strength for absorbing the medicinal properties."
Innkeeper Chou was truly exhausted. However, his eyes still flashed as he said, "Chou Xiao Tian."
"Huh?"
'My name." Chou Xia Tian closed his eyes and didn't speak any further, leaving Sima You Yue to cover his body completely with needles.
While he was in a daze, he could feel that his vitality that was initially fading, was slowly recovering. He was no longer shrouded by the aura of death. A set of clothes lay on his body and Sima You Yue's voice slowly helped him come back to his senses.
"Alright, you're no longer in critical condition."
Chou Xiao Tian opened his eyes and looked at Sima You Yue. Her eyes reflected a sense of tiredness, and it looked that saving him had used up quite a lot of her mental energy.
"Thank you." His voice was weak as he said.
"If you're grateful, then waive the rental fees of our rooms." Sima You Yue said while keeping her needles away.
"Okay." Chou Xiao Tian agreed straightforwardly.
Sima You Yue kept everything away as she looked at Chou Xiao Tian, saying, "I've been wanting to ask you since just now. If I didn't happen to save you, you probably wouldn't have been able to survive past 2 hours. You really didn't plan to tell your servant anything?"
"He's called Lian Hong." Chou Xiao Tian said, "If I did and you all didn't take him away, I would let him stay here his whole life."
"Cruel." Sima You Yue merely said this one word.
"It's for his own good." Chou Xiao Tian smiled bitterly.
"What about now? You're not dead, so are you going to stay here/"
"I have to think about it."
"Take your time, then." Sima You Yue placed a jade bottle on the table, saying, "You just have to take this at the same time tomorrow, and you'll be fine."
"Much appreciated."
"You're welcome. In any case, I've taken my compensation." Sima You Yue said, "If you you still feel like it's not enough, you can just give me another array stone like this one."
"The main gate is over there, I won't send you off."
Sima You Yue no longer teased him and turned around to leave. She opened the main gate and saw Lian Hong standing outside the house, crying.
"You can go in." She said before leaving.
Lian Hong had never left, but Sima You Yue always knew. It was only because Chou Xiao Tian's injuries were serious and had lost much of his vitality that his senses were not sharp that he did not know he was outside.
"Thank you." Lian Hong bowed to Sima You Yue gratefully.
Sima You Yue smiled before leaving the house.
She knew that the two of them had a lot to say to each other right now. It was best for her not to know about it, in order to avoid being dragged into their issues.
Since she had to fulfill her responsibilities for caring for the sick person, they delayed their journey for a few days.
Five days later, Chou Xiao Tian was finally recovered enough to loot outside. Seeing that Sima You Yue had come to settle the payment he said, "Your fees have already been paid."
"Since that's the case, can we get our deposit back?" Sima You Yue asked.
"No way. Since it's been given, you can't take it back." Chou Xiao Tian's face was solemn. He was afraid that Sima You Yue would ask him about that.
Sima You Yue smiled, saying to Sima Lie, "Grandpa, let's go."
The group of them left the inn and Chou Xiao Tian gazed upon the cold house. He turned to Lian Hong, who was currently cleaning the area, asking, "Do you want to leave with them?"
Lian Hong rolled his eyes, saying, "It's you who wants to go with them. Why are you dragging me into this?"
