His Charming Smile novel Chapter 2

Though Harry was sometimes impulsive and a little full of himself, it was the first time he lost his temper like this.

"I guess he doesn't love me as much as I thought, nor is he accepting of my past," thought Daphne.

Though her lips were shuddering, Daphne stubbornly refused to back down and stared at Harry.

No one, not even herself, knew what had happened a year ago. Yet, Daphne had just been told that she was no longer a virgin and even had a child before. She was utterly surprised by the news, so how was she supposed to explain it?

"Forget about getting married?" Harry's face was red. His expression was one of sadness and melancholy.

The girl, whom he had deeply loved for seven years, had long belonged to another man and borne a child for that man instead.

His self- esteem and pride were trampled under her feet.

He was such a proud man, so how could he ever allow such a thing to happen?

"Ah!" Harry was so upset but he had nowhere to vent it. Suddenly, he turned his body sideways and punched the wall!

"Daphne Goodwin, don't you dare to say those words again!"

Harry glared at Daphne and clenched his teeth tightly. He couldn't bear the thought that she was dumping him after she had cheated on him.

Daphne’s heart ached as she looked into Harry's eyes, which were filled with anguish and sadness.

The heartache she felt seemed to be spreading outwards and filling her entire chest.

It hurt a lot.

"I suppose he does love me, doesn’t he?" thought she.

However, though he loved her, he did not trust her.

What was the point of marrying him if he didn' t trust her?

Daphne had a look of stubbornness in her eyes. She slowly opened her mouth and said coldly, "Harry, let's break up."

Daphne was still in a daze when she opened her eyes. She finally realised that she had been dreaming again when she saw where she was—her bedroom.
