His Charming Smile novel Chapter 4

The man stared at Daphne coldly with a pair of dark gloomy eyes. He did not utter a word, yet he did not show the intention to leave either.

Daphne's frown deepened.-

"Dr. Goodwin, why haven't you started the operation?" Daphne suddenly heard her supervisor's anxious voice from behind her. "I've got to tell you that she has quite the background. Please do your best and don't let anything happen to her. Otherwise..."

He had not even finished his words when he saw the man standing right in front of Daphne. Stunned, he said in a panic, "Mr. Ambrose..."

The man gave him a sweeping glance, and the supervisor shut up immediately.

Daphne glared coldly at the man before looking away.

She turned around and walked towards the operating theater. At the same time, she said quickly, "There is no more Rhesus-negative type 0 blood in the blood bank. Let's use my blood first since she is in a critical stage."

However, it would not be enough, so they would have to immediately get more from hospitals nearby.

Jamie took charge of it.

"I can't be the operating surgeon since I have to donate blood to her. Please get another obstetrician to do it," said Daphne.

Daphne continued, "Family members have to leave right now! You're in our way of saving the patient."

Daphne had just reached the door separating the scrub room and the operating theatre. She stopped right in front of it.

She did not look back but said coldly, "If you care so much about her, why didn't you go with her to the checkup? You were the one who let her go alone while she is heavily pregnant. Humph."

Her words were full of cynicism. Her chuckle at the end made him feel especially uncomfortable.

The man's expression instantly turned into a grimace.

The supervisor’s eyes widened in shock. He took a glance at the man and felt his heart skipping a beat in fear. He held his breath and hurriedly told Daphne off, "Dr. Goodwin, how could you talk to Mr. Ambrose in that manner!
