Married with the Broken Hearted CEO novel Chapter 39

Wine&Vibe and Crimson Meadow, the two largest wine company in the West have a new project together, which called: “Luxury for Everyone.” 
The aim of this project is to enlarge the companies’ influence and to gain enormous profit. 1/8 of the profit will go the the charities, which will improve both of the companies’ images. 
Project began after Chadwick and Adira married each other. Since then, they started to work for the new wine that the developed for almost half of the year. And now, branding their wine will be the next step before launching. 
A brand is all about people’s perceptions of the company or the product. Will the people think that the brand is expensive? What do they want the perceived value of wine brand to be? 
Branding is positioning your company as the expert and people come to you. Once you take a stand for something, you will naturally get people hunting you down wanting to buy the product. And that is the topic for today’s meeting. 
The two CEO of the project met today to talk about the branding of their project. They will held the meeting at Adira’s company, Crimson Meadow, together with their strategist director from advertising department. 
These CEO, Chadwick and Adira, sat across each other with two long tables between them, their feet won’t even bump each other even if they spread them freely under the table. At both corners, both of their secretaries are standing beside them. 
Hansel and Neil looked at each other. This isn’t the first time their path crossed, so Neil felt a bit comfortable with secretary Hansel. 
And so, Neil smiled politely at her. 
But Hansel, who hates Neil’s boss, ignored his polite greeting, and instead glared at Chadwick. 
‘That bastard,’ Hansel cursed inwardly while staring at Chadwick. Even if Chadwick agreed on dating Adira and that the article released by Jaymee has showed the love the couple has, Hansel won’t believe that Chadwick cares for her boss. 
Neil noticed how Hansel stared to his boss. At first he doubted why, but later, he stopped being skeptical.
After the long silence, it was Adira, who first spoke. 
“In branding , we should define the target wine drinking audience.” 
“I agreed,” Chadwick replied. “Since our project says that we are giving luxury to everyone, that doesn’t mean we will just include all wine drinkers.  There are different segments inside the wine drinking population so we had to pay attention to who exactly our customers are to help us create a marketing campaigns that precisely target our niche.” 
“Right. In Crimson Meadow, our top buyers are “Image Seekers”. They will check restaurant wine lists before they dine out so they can research wine scores online. So if to appeal this audience, we make sure we reference outside review and wine scores on our website. Usually, Image seekers are influenced by packaging and design.” 
“That is why I sent some examples of the designs. Please see the documents in front of you.” 
Adira looked at the blue portfolio in front of her. Together with her advertising adviser, they checked each of the designs. 
While looking, Chadwick explained why they chose the designs as they carefully reviewed the paper type, Pantone colors, foil and embossing. 
“Our brains are often taking shortcuts when it comes to packaging designs. People don’t really notice all details on a wine label, even if they have long time walking down the aisle of wine store.” 
“Yes,” Adira answered, nodding her head. “Poor label design means poor wine quality. Professional wine label design means high quality wine. I love the example designs. I will tell you my decision which design caught my interest the  best.”
“Great, I will be waiting then.” 
“About the price, innovation and differentiation, I already emailed you the details.” 
“I already read it.” 
“The different of our wine is that we made it using the two ways of two companies. Beside, we are aiming for more people as much as possible so we intended to give a good quality wine in affordable price, which everyone can enjoy, including the image seekers. However, we need to think outside the box. Instead of saying we are the best or the cheapest or have the best customer service, we need to take a new approach,” Adira commented. “For example, they are million of different Pizza places out there, but D*mino’s skyrocketed because they promised “30 minutes or it’s free.” They didn’t say we have the best pizza, but the advertising is still working great until today. Another one, Tom’s shoes took off because they focused on moral good like: A new pair of shoes goes to a child in need for every pair purchased.” 
“I understood you very well. To do that, we must tell the brand story,” Chadwick suggested.

The two stopped for a moment. 
If it is the brand story, didn’t they get wed for this project? 
Crimson Meadow and Wine&Vibe have past histories of corrupting taxes and that’s why their parents decided to let their children handle the the company. Adira and Chadwick was known for donating and supporting charities. So, if they wed together and make a project that will also help the one in need, the images will change. People will be also curious about the two billionaire’s story as the project continues, not just now but in the future. 
‘How can we have a recognizable brand story that will us stay in the forefront of the customers mind?’ Adira thought. 
First of all, no one should know that their marriage was arranged. 
“How about we made a story how the two of you fell in love?” Adira’s adviser commented. 
The director of advertising department on Chadwick’s company, agreed too. “That’s right. The article about president Chadwick and ma’am Adira is pretty famous. But the article didn’t include how the two of you got to know each other and how you fell in love.” 
Chadwick and Adiralooked at each other. 
The story on how they met, it is an imaginary situation created by their parents. 
Story is about two kind people, who are supporting different charities, met in an unexpected place. They were enchanted to each other and started dating. 
It was to show the public that the CEO of both companies got married because of love. And in the future, they will do many good deeds which help to cover the tax evasion scandal. This is the reason why they cannot reveal easily that they got married without love, and that they must finished the project without problems. 
‘This is also the reason that Chadwick must be careful hanging out with Bea,’ Adira sighed. She’s not jealous about them, just thinking how annoying it will be if Chadwick will have a scandal with another woman. 
Suddenly, Adira remembered the guy who’s working at her favorite bar. She told the man that her husband and bringing woman in their house. 
‘It won’t be a problem since that guy doesn’t know my identity, right?’ she wondered. 
“Instead of getting actor or model to represent our brand, what about Mr. McElroy and Mrs. McElroy do it?” Adira’s adviser added. 
Once again, Chadwick and Adira stared at each other. They did not say yes yet. But they might consider it the future. 
Time quickly passed by. 
The married couple became so busy in producing, thinking of advertising procedure and the upcoming special event after they finalized the product. 
Then in a flash, the launching day came. 
To prepare for the launching event, Chadwick and Adira went to a salon they have rented just for themselves. 
Sitting in front of the mirror, Chadwick was dressed up with indigo suits and white turtle neck underneath. With his brushed up hair, he looks astonishing and manly as ever, that women in the event might forget that he is already a married man. 
The lady who styled his hair before will also agree how handsome Chadwick tonight is. 
“You look handsome today, Sir,” Neil complimented his boss. 
Looking at his phone, Chadwick just nodded his head. “I always look handsome.”
The smile on Neil’s lips stayed, but his eyes squinted slightly at his arrogant boss. 
‘I know that he is always handsome but why does it feel irritating?’ Neil just laughed while having this evil thoughts about his boss. 
“Ahhh, where is madam?” he asked. 
“She’s also dressing up,” Chadwick said while looking at his phone. He’s browsing about the news and articles which report the upcoming launch. They invited many investors and businessmen who are also looking forward for the joined project of two large companies. 
“Wow!” Neil gasped. “Madam might be the most gorgeous woman in the event.” 
Chadwick placed his phone down and looked at the free space. 
From the beginning, Chadwick agreed that Adira is the prettiest woman he saw, as if the ice fairy in the tale books he read when he was young, came out from the story. 
But he did not appreciate his beauty before because his heart belonged to someone else. It was only when he fell in love that he sees her differently.
‘It was hard to get immune against seeing her wear provocative dress every night,’ Chadwick sighed. 
As he was about to look at his phone again, Adira arrived. 
“Oh!” Neil gasped. 
Chadwick tilted his head, not expecting more or less for Adira. She is always a beauty, so nothing will surprise him; he thought. 
But when he watched her walked and conquered the momentum, the world’s colors faded and left only her shining brightly in his eyes. 
Tonight, Adira is wearing a modest turquoise dress. The designer chose it for her because it might look good on Adira, but when she wore this, it was actually no less than perfect. 
The pearls in her neckline which  fell halter style were very sightly. In fact, Adira is prettier than the pearl, and she did also think of that too. 
Looking at Adira walking with subtle beam, Chadwick thought he was out of breaths for many seconds. Perhaps, she is too much for his eyes to handle. Her rose-like lips blended very well with her transparent and white skin, as if she is really a snow fairy; a seductive fairy with red hair. 
“I am beautiful again today, aren’t I?” Adira asked  confidently to her husband. 
It wasn’t ‘Do I look okay?’ but a positive ‘I am beautiful,’  which added her charm.
Because a woman who thinks she’s pretty, has the prettiest mind. 
However, it is not only her positiveness, confidence and  beauty that captivated Chadwick. The fact that he likes her makes her look so special; so special that he became a broken mirror that tends to exaggerate her reflection.

While staring at her, he felt being on top of the world. His eyes centered on the woman he had fallen in love with. It was so sweet, and better than watching a captivating soap opera. 
‘I have never known thoughts about Adira could be so sweet.’
He struggled hard to compose himself in her presence, and there is lump in his throat, his palms sweat, his knees weaken and his feet feel cold.  There are butterflies in his stomach and his heart beats so fast and hard just like a parade of soldiers on a matching spree, it made him dizzy. 
Just how much love struck him this time? 
Did he ever feel this way towards his first love? 
He doesn’t want to remember those past days before. What important is that this beautiful lady in front of him is no other than his wife. 
“Oh my god madam! You look so pretty!” Neil praised her. 
Adira looked at Neil and said, “Thank you.” 
“Sir, do you agree too?” Neil asked Chadwick, who cannot take his eyes off his wife. “Madam is so gorgeous, right?” 
Chadwick, who was so captivated, detached his lips and said, “Yeah. So pretty.” 
A deafening silence reigned after.
