The early risers chirping, birds are about to do their rituals. Chadwick is one of the early risers. Although he is not a bird, there was a smile on his lips, so wide soon he might also chirp in juvenile. 
He hopped down from his bed and slid on the curtains of his room's window. The morning sun beams peeking through the cloud, golden light everywhere, covering man-man creations. 
Today seems full of beauty and magic, filled with the promise of a new beginning. 
'So this is how to be in love again,' Chadwick told himself before a faint chuckle slipped from his lips. 
Next, he stood in front of the mirror and looked carefully at his face. He fixed his morning bed hair and cleaned the corner of his eyes. Chadwick placed his palm near his mouth and smelled his breath. So far, he saw no flaws in his handsome face. 
Back then, Chadwick did not care about his appearance every morning. Instead of worrying if he will look good in front of Adira, he worried about his safety instead. He was purposely waking up really early so that he and Adira wouldn’t bump into each other the moment he opened his eyes. 
Yet, it seems it is true the there is no permanent in this world. Everything changed and now, instead of avoiding Adira, he longed to see her as many as possible. Thus, after checking his face, Chadwick exited his room with jolly heart. 
He looked around, setting his eyes in the living room, dining room and kitchen. However, there's no Adira present at the moment. 
Now he knows how it feels when someone avoids you on purpose. 
"But her case and I are different," Chadwick uttered, pouting his lips that suddenly looked like a beak. 
Chadwick believes that their cases are different because Adira only wanted to see him for her mission to get pregnant. But for Chadwick, he longed to see her because of love. So, which one is more painful? 
A husband who does not want to have a sex with her with no love? 
Or an ex-wife who does not want to spend time with him ever since he confessed? 
In Chadwick’s point of view, his is more hurtful. Even so, he has no regrets. Instead of sulking over the fact that Adira left him early in the morning, he just beamed and sighed. 
'This is okay. It's not like we only have limited time together.' 
He dragged his feet towards the kitchen to make fruit smoothie. On his way, his peripheral vision caught something from the dining table. He ceased and tilted his head to look for that. What he saw above the table was a small note and foods such as fried egg, bacon and ham. 
There are only two people living in the house. If it is not Chadwick who prepared all of this, then it is the other person. 
Coming to that surprising realization, Chadwick ran towards the table, so fast and desperate as if he is a zombie which hasn't eaten anything for weeks. Arriving near the table, he observed the foods and picked up the note with pretty handwritten words, just like the owner. 
Chadwick read it out loud. 
["Don't think anything special about this. It is my way to pay the expensive dinner last night , and for washing the dishes. You usually wake up early so I know the foods will be okay."] 
The messages are short and there is no sweetness in it. Yet, his heart was filled with happiness. Subconsciously, he kissed the note and even hugged it, as if he found a treasure. 
As he sits on the chair, Chadwick boasted, "Huh. Geoffrey won't experience waking up in the morning with Adira’s cooking on the table. How pathetic." 
Somehow, Chadwick always tends to compare his situation to his competitor. He said that there's nothing to worry since he has the upper hand in this battle. He's not anxious, he believes that. Yet he doesn't know that comparing him and Geoffrey is evidence that he's pretty nervous. 
While eating quietly and smiling, Chadwick recalled that he and Adira had a meeting in the Crimson Meadow company. Excited to see his ex-wife, whom he can see every day, Chadwick quickly prepared himself. He was meticulous in choosing which suits, shoes, watch, hairstyle to wear, and perfume to use so he would look presentable in front of Adira. The meeting is not a date. But for him, 'dating my ex-wife' is the second meaning of every meeting he'll have with her. 
After preparing, Chadwick was fetched by his secretary who took his car last night. 
From the moment Chadwick went out of the house and right now, when he is sitting at the back seat of the car, Neil can see that his boss is in a very good mood. As if there is a candy at the tip of Chadwick’s tongue that makes his expression lovely and sweet. 
Neil glanced at the smiling Chadwick through the front mirror as he drives. 
'He's really in a good mood. This is the first time I saw him like that. As if he's shining,' Neil thought as his eyes went back to the empty highway. 
He was blinded by Chadwick’s beaming aura and he knew the reason behind the light. Neil heard from Hansel about his boss’s confession to Adira. The two secretaries now realized why Chadwick chose to divorce Adira. 
He wanted to start from zero. 
Adira isn't the typical woman who can understand everything with just a simple confession. They concluded that Chadwick wanted to have a good beginning after closing their messy start. 
"What is our schedule for today?"
Silence pierced as Chadwick’s voice echoed inside the car. 
Seeing how he dressed up especially today, Neil guessed that Chadwick already knows what the first schedule is. His boss pretended to be clueless because he wanted to hear the fact again. 
"Sir, you have a meeting with the CEO of Crimson Meadow," Neil fulfilled his boss' request to answer the rhetorical question. 
As expected, Neil saw Chadwick smiling even wider through the front mirror of the car. 
Neil, then, couldn't help himself from teasing his boss. 
"Sir, are you that excited in your meeting?" he asked. 
The honest man answered, "Yes. I am excited to see her." 
Silence. 
It took Chadwick seconds to realize his mistake. 
'Did I just tell my secretary that I am excited to see my ex-wife?' Chadwick asked himself. His eyes widened. 
Almost jumping from his seat, Chadwick suddenly shouted, "I am not!" 
Neil felt his heart jumping out from his chest. Good thing there were no cars around the highway, or else, an accident might happen. 
"I am not that excited to see Adira!" Chadwick added. "What I mean is that I am... e-excited about the meeting! This project is so important to me! You know that I am dedicated in work, right?! So don't misunderstand everything!"
Neil wanted to rebuke that it was Chadwick who brought up Adira’s name and not him, but he kindly stopped teasing him. Chadwick was already embarrassed. 
'He's probably shied to let us know about his confession. Sorry boss. But I already know this since the before.' 
Neil nodded his head and just agreed, "Alright, boss. I got it." 
"Great!" Chadwick acted angry before he slumped his back. Although he tried so hard to hide it, the smile still creeps out from his lips. 
Neil shook his head and laughed inwardly, 'He's crazy.' 
Minutes later, they arrived at the Crimson Meadow company. As soon as they arrived, employees and staffs bowed their heads to the CEO of the Wine&Vibe. Some of them met Chadwick during the vacation in the resort. But some saw him for the first time and was awed at his handsomeness. 
Chadwick is used in that kind of stares; stares that scanning and adoring him from head to toe. But there's something different in today. 
'Why do I feel that everyone is looking at me intently?' Chadwick pondered, tilting his head towards his secretary. 
He stopped walking and turned to Neil. 
Neil also ceasesdto look at his boss who seemed confused. 
"Neil," Chadwick uttered. "Do I have dirt in my face?"
Neil leaned closer and took a closer look to his face. "Nothing, sir. You look perfect, like Greek god." 
The over-the-top praise made Chadwick frown. 
"But it's weird. Why is everyone looking at me so oddly?" 
Neil looked around and caught the stares. Then, he clapped his hands as if he remembered something. "Oh right! You are trending in the news last night and today!" 
Trending again? 
Chadwick was busy seducing Adira last night, and so he did not have the time to check his phone or emails. So far, they handled the issue about his affair rumors. Then, what made him enter the latest news again? 
"There was a blog about you on the internet," Neil said. He got his phone while continuing, "A girl said that she had a car accident yesterday. She accidentally bumped into an expensive car due to her own mistake. And she was so nervous. However, the owner of the car turned out to be you, Sir." 
Chadwick pointed to himself. "Me?"
Neil nodded. "The girl, who is a famous influencer in social media, said that the CEO of Wine&Vibe isn't only handsome and rich, but kind-hearted too. Then, she added that you let her go and said to be careful next time with a sweet smile on your lips." 
Chadwick remembered the accident yesterday. Actually, he hates clumsy driver. But he was in a good mood yesterday because of Adira, so he let the woman off from hook. He did not expect that his reputation will skyrocket just like that.
"Then, look at this, Sir." Neil showed a video of the car accident. 
Chadwick watched the video and saw yesterday's incident. He saw himself getting out of the car with a smile on his face. 
'Was I that crazy yesterday?! Smiling although I got into an accident?! I must be losing my mind!' Chadwick shouted internally. 
"The one who took this video is currently filming the city for her project and she accidentally filmed the car crash. When the article about you became famous, the filmer shared the video. So, the news got bigger. In short, you are famous for being a kind CEO. Thanks to this, all bad rumors about you were completely washed out." 
Chadwick felt happy if the accident helped to build his reputation. But he will be happier if Adira saw the article and be proud of him. He does not need the people's favor. All he wanted is for her to see him in new light.
