His Plump Mate (by Buchanan) novel Chapter 383

Thalia POV

Rodrigo left. It felt bittersweet. I thought perhaps he would stay a little longer or permanently. When he said he didn’t have any business being in a pack when he didn’t have his wolf, I felt a pang in my chest.

I waited so long to have what felt like family. I got it when I came to Blackstone, but it’s different when it’s your own blood. My mom is finally safe and is getting stronger. She is going to leave with Mia and Luca to continue getting the best medical care available and Crossfang is the perfect place to go.

Abuelo Damaro and Tio Valeno are making arrangements for Aiden and I to go to Obscure Maw, after I give birth to our daughters. Next time we see him, our daughters will be with us and we can see if there is anything we need to prepare for with our pups being hybrids. I have no idea what to expect. Neither does Abuelo or Tio. This is an unprecedented occurrence.

Isaiah has been moping around. He finally has a mate and doesn’t know how to reach Kaia or Sinclair to talk to them about it. I feel bad not remembering who sat where. The tables are long and there are so many chairs per table. The dining hall is not a bunch of little tables. It looks regal with long rows of tables. It’s easy to forget the exact seat you sat in.

He searched high and low in every part of the pack where he knew Kaia and Sinclair had hung out looking for a clue. But he came up empty handed each time. I see Aiden walk over to him and slap his shoulder with his hand in a brotherly way. But something Aiden said made Isaiah perk up a little more. They both came walking over to me.

“Have I told you how amazing a sister-in-law you are, Thalia?” Isaiah said with a smirk and Aiden’s lips twitched.

I crossed my arms over my chest, “Out with it. What do you want?”

“You know where to find Kaia and Sinclair back home right? Aiden said you might have some idea.”

“I only know of places when we were colleagues. Knowing they are giving up that life, they may not appear at those locations. However,…” I said, pausing for dramatic effect and just to mess with the both of them.

“However, what?” He said looking like an impatient puppy.

I smirked, “If I were to choose one place the both of them might go, it would be to the warehouse. It’s where we ran our operations as hitmen.” I said.

“A warehouse?” Isaiah looked at me strangely.

“Yeah, a warehouse in the middle of an industrial business park.’ I said. I pulled my phone out and texted him the address. “Outside of that, we didn’t get into each other’s personal lives. It was like that for me at least. Back then those two were always closer to each other than I was with them.”

Isaiah looked at me thankfully and with hope in his eyes, “This is better than nothing. At least it’s a starting place.”

“If you look in the windows, there should be disguises and several cabinets. If you see that, then it hasn’t been decommissioned. You may want to stake the place out and see if they show up to start closing up shop.” I said. “They hadn’t originally planned on turning or staying. Now that they are, they may decide to decommission the place entirely.”

“I will go there right now. Are you good?” He said looking at Aiden.

“Pretty sure I can manage my own pack, bro.” He said with a smirk.
