His Plump Mate (by Buchanan) novel Chapter 384

Aiden POV

After a very pleasurable afternoon and wearing my little tiger out, I got up to take a quick shower and cleaned up my mate. If this is how she is going to be when she is pregnant, then I understand why she is going to be constantly pregnant and I’m not complaining. She is absolutely insatiable and I am here for every second of it.

She is still asleep and I decided to go to the dining hall to grab a couple of plates of food and bring it back to her. She is probably going to be starving when she wakes up. As I make my way down the stairs, I run into Isaiah.

“I would have thought you left by now.” I said.

“I needed to pack a bag and finish up some work items before I left. I am getting ready to leave after I get some food in me. I may just ask for something I can eat along the way.” Isaiah said.

"Cool, well I’m heading to the dining hall. Walk with me.” I said.

“Where’s Thalia?”

“Passed out on the bed.” I smirked. “I’m going to bring her a plate.”

Isaiah smirked as he understood why I’m bringing food for her instead of waiting for her to come down later. Since she is sleeping, I decided to eat with Isaiah in the dining hall. Predictably, he sits in the seat where his mate sat.

“Man, you have it bad already?” I said, smirking.

“Shut up. You were worse than me. You were miserable for years because you couldn’t find your mate. Then you were miserable when you came back alone after having found her. Then you were miserable for the two weeks she wasn’t here and you thought she was going to marry that asshole.” He said with a smirk. “Point is, you stayed miserable until she was firmly at your side.”

I laughed wholeheartedly because my dear brother is correct. I was a miserable bastard until I had Thalia beside me.

“Well, even if you are right, fuck you.” I said, still laughing.

“I just hope I find out which one it is. It’s driving me crazy not knowing.” Isaiah said.

“I haven’t really thought about it much, but I could see how that would drive you crazy. Knowing you found your mate and then you still don’t know who it is and it’s a toss-up between two women that seem to always be attached to each other.” I said.

“Yeah. You see why I’m anxious.”

“Who do you want it to be?” I asked.

Isaiah stops eating and sits up with a pensive look on his face. “I guess I haven’t thought about that part as much. They both are a pain my ass, if I’m being honest. Clearly, the Moon Goddess has jokes. I turned my own mate, and it feels like I would have to choose the lesser of two evils just to have a peace of mind.” He said and I laughed.

“Man, the mind fuck you must be feeling right now.” I said with a smile, “So who is the lesser of two evils?”

“I think Sinclair is.” He said.

“Really? Why do you say that?” I asked.

“She seems more level headed than Kaia. Besides, Kaia is married.” He said and then he perked up, “Maybe it’s Kaia and then she will reject me and I can hopefully have a second chance mate.”

“I don’t know. It seemed like Kaia wanted a mate though. Which is strange because, as you say, she is already married.”

“Right? Whatever her thought process is, I hope it isn’t her dream for us to be mates.” Isaiah said.

“Are you okay with the possibility that it could be Sinclair?” I asked.

“Yeah. She is the nerdy type. She seems to have family drama too. Have you noticed that Dad and you both were mated to women with family drama?”

“Adrian had family drama to deal with too when I came to Amber.” I said.

“Yeah, so there seems to be family drama with Sinclair, which means there is something I probably going to have to step in and fix later.” He said.
