His Plump Mate (by Buchanan) novel Chapter 408

Thalia POV

It’s been a total of three weeks since I gave birth to Rosario and Teagan. They are beautiful and they are getting plump and deliciously pinchable. When they shift, their wolves’ fur is starting to become luscious and shiny. Every time they speak, I want to protect them from the world.

Which is why I am here. I want to protect them from the upcoming war. I don’t even know how I am going to do it. I only know that I’m the chosen one and I feel grossly unprepared. I have always known when to expect danger. Especially after Diego’s betrayal. I just don’t know what I am expecting now.

Aiden is looking at this trip as a chance to learn all he can and get prepared and take what he learns and apply it to Blackstone. He wants it for the land, and he wants it for the warrior training. He has also gotten closer to Tio Valeno.

I met my tia as well. Tia Chaya is fierce and hilarious and she loves our daughters. She said they would have to be unique since they are her kin. Plus, Goddess can she cook. She made the best pernil I have ever had. I was actually doing a little dance in my chair during dinner, which made Aiden laugh.

Now, he and I are in the archives, trying to find anything we can on the tool we need. Our eyes are tired as we go through so many old scrolls and texts. Some of the books are really old and the print is a bit faded too.

“Are you finding anything, guapo?” I asked, stretching my neck and back. My body feels stiff from being hunched over so long.

Aiden looks up and sees me stretching. He walks over to me and massages my shoulder, making me moan at the feeling. He chuckles, “Feel good?”

“Yes. I never was one to read a lot. That was always Mia. I didn’t know it could be this exhausting.” I said.

“There is a lot to go through. I feel like I might be getting close though.” He said.

I tilted my head back and looked at him. “Really?”

“Yeah. I found something about the tool. It’s a combination of silver nitrate and Iron.” He said.

“How can we touch something made of silver?” I said.

“We can’t. Mom can, though.” He said.

I turned and looked at him. “Wait. Mom isn’t affected by silver?”

“No. Moon Goddess gift. Actually, if what your grandfather said is true, then you should be able to absorb that gift.” He said, like he had an epiphany.

Then I had an epiphany, “Then I can push it out to the warriors when we need to use it.”

We both looked at each other excitedly. This is the way. “Finally, something seems like it’s unfolding.” I said.

“Yeah, but would Golden Frost have that that kind of a tool? How would they even create it without getting injured?” Aiden asked.
