Kaia POV
Mr. Hollman stood up, “We believe those medical records are forgeries, your honor. My client states he did enter into this marriage, and they did become husband and wife…officially.”
Judge Michael looked at me, “Mrs. Black, it’s a big deal to lie in my courtroom. Did you or did you not consummate your marriage with Mr. Black.”
“We did not, your honor. You have the medical records in your possession. If you look closely, they are all doctors from the court approved list. Additionally,” I said, opening my folder and pulling out the medical records from today, “I had an additional appointment with Dr. Harlowe this morning just before this hearing. She is also on the court approved list, and she confirmed what all the other doctors have stated. I am still a virgin. She took is a step further and provided a photograph of that area of my body, still intact.”
“Objection! Your honor, this cannot be admissible. We were not provided with this information before today.” Mr. Hollman argued.
“Your honor,” Mr. Fellman said, “I only just found out about this appointment before the court hearing myself. It would have been impossible to provide information to the courts or Mr. Hollman in a timely manner.”
I spoke up, probably not the best thing to do, but I risk it. “Your honor, may I have permission to speak?”
“Yes, Mrs. Black.” He said and clearly, he is ready for recess, so I make it quick.
“I have been stuck in a loveless marriage for three years. I have lived a lonely existence while my husband cheats on me with hundreds of women. Our brief interactions always ended up with me crying myself to sleep. I am begging you to help me end this and grant me a divorce. I just want to be happy in my life. He doesn’t love me, and I don’t love him.” I finished and sat back down.
Mr. Fellman looked at me approvingly. Good. I didn’t screw things up. I wish Isaiah was here. I know he can’t be, but I feel a lot stronger when he’s holding me.
I feel a nudge in the mind link and I open it. ‘How’s it going, trouble?’
‘As expected. There is going to be a recess soon.’ I said.
“I’ve heard enough.” Judge Michael said. “We are taking a twenty-minute recess and Mr. Black; your restraining order is still in effect. You may not be able to keep your distance while in the courtroom, but you are still to respect the spirit of the restraining order and not communicate or harass Mrs. Black in any way. Any discussions or questions should go through Mr. Fellman. Court is adjourned and will continue in twenty minutes.

Isaiah POV
I called Aiden. I need to talk to him and quite frankly, I need a distraction. I’m on pins and needles here.
“Hey bro, court done yet?” Aiden asks.
“No. She is still in there. Hey, I forgot to mention something to you. Sinclair got records on her birth parents along with a keepsake from her mother. The keepsake is something we haven’t seen in a long time.”
“Oh yeah? What is it?”
“Purple Altantonite.” I said.
“Wait…I thought those were scarce now. How did her mother get it?”
“It’s on a pendant. I was shocked when I saw it too.”
