Kaia POV

It’s been almost a month since my divorce. I’m heading back to the human city to finalize the asset transfer. Isaiah is with me. He hasn’t left my side at all.

Ever since he wore me out that first night, I have been adding to his list. I love having fun with him in bed. I have something I’m planning, but it’s not ready yet. When it is though, I bet he will enjoy it as much as I will.

“What are you thinking about, trouble?” Isaiah asked.

I smirk, “I’m thinking about what else I can do to add to your list.”

He laughed, “Who knew you would be so addicted to lists?”

“I’m only addicted to the one list, and let’s be honest, so are you.’

His eyes are smoldering, though. I can tell he is thinking about what else he wants to do. I went from never being touched by my ex-husband to never going untouched by Isaiah. I have to admit, I like the turn of events, too.

Once we land, we are greeted by Mr. Fellman. He shakes my hand and then Isaiah’s. Isaiah still doesn’t like him, and that’s why he insisted on coming with me on this trip. I don’t mind. I want to get this over with quickly. When we get back, I’m going to accept my role as the beta female for Blackstone officially. I also get to do the blood pact. Isaiah said he will tell me in detail about the blood pact and what it means. I cannot wait either. I’ve been wanting to know about it since Thalia had hers. Everyone has been tight-lipped about it.

Once we get to the courthouse, Isaiah agrees to stay outside in the car. We enter the mediation room,

and Judge Michael, Mr. Hollman, and my ex-husband are all there, waiting. The ex is looking at me with murderous eyes and maybe… jealousy? I’m not sure, but it’s not a look that I’m used to seeing from him.

Judge Michael begins by restating that this is not a courtroom. This meeting is to finalize the documents for the asset transfer. Mr. Hollman passes the documentation to Mr. Fellman. Mr. Fellman starts reviewing the documents, and I see his eyes darken.
