Seeing the disbelief on Rachel's face, the man's smile vanished, replaced by a fierce glare.
"Because of you two, Nelson kicked me off the team. In a little while, I'm going to personally throw you into the sea to feed the fish."
Rachel scoffed. "Did Nelson approve of you throwing us to the fish? Be careful, or he might kill you when he finds out."
The burly man looked smug. "Nelson? You sound pretty friendly with him. What, did you two hook up?"
"What are you talking about?" Rachel snapped, about to charge at him before I pulled her back forcefully.
Seeing this, the man grew even more cocky. "Getting all worked up, am I right? You put on such an innocent act, but underneath it all, you're so…"
Before the man could finish, there was a sharp crack. Rachel had ripped the claw clip from her hair and thrown it at his head.
Though the clip was plastic, she had thrown it with all her strength, and it must have hurt.
The man's eyes instantly turned vicious. "You damn woman, you dare to hit me? I'm going to teach you a lesson today."
As he raised his fist to strike, I pulled Rachel back.
Just as his punch was about to land, a familiar voice echoed from the doorway.
"Stop!"
I clearly saw the burly man flinch at the sound of the voice, a psychological fear of Nelson.
Nelson walked in slowly, enunciating each word. "What are you doing?"
